21 sts x 28 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].

Pattern: See chart (1 chart = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side.

Rib: * K 2, P 2 *. Repeat from *-*.

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Garter st, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl.* Repeat from * - *.

Body: Cast on 216 (228-240) sts on smaller circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 cm [0.75"] rib. Change to larger circular needles and knit Pattern 1. Place a second marker for other side (front and back each = 108 (114-120) sts).
When the work measures 30 (30-32) cm [11.75" (11.75" - 12-5/8")] knit garter st over the center front 6 sts for 4 rows, then bind off the 2 center sts for the neck split on the next row. Knit the rest of the work back and forth on the needles. Continue with Pattern 1, keeping the 2 edge sts at the neck split in garter st throughout. At the same time, when the work measures 35 (35-36) cm [13.75" (13.75" - 14-1/8")], knit the next row as follows from the center front neck split: 51 (54-57) sts for the front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 104 (110-116) sts for the back, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 51 (54-57) sts for the front. Knit the rest of each part separately.

Front: = 51 (54-57) sts. Bind off for armholes every other row: 3 sts 1 (1-2) times, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 (4-3) times = 42 (43-44) sts. When the work measures 50 (50-52) cm [19.75" (19.75" - 20.5")] bind off at each neck edge every other row: 6 (7-7) sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Bind off when the work measures approx. 58 (58-60) cm [22-7/8" (22-7/8" - 23-5/8")] - adjust for complete pattern.

Back: = 104 (110-116) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front = 86 (88-90) sts. When the work measures 56 (56-58) cm [22" (22" - 22-7/8")] bind off the center 28 (30-30) sts for the neck. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row. Bind off when the work measures approx. 58 (58-60) cm [22-7/8" (22-7/8" - 23-5/8")] - adjust for complete pattern.

Sleeves: Cast on 52 (52-52) sts on smaller double pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 cm [0.75"] rib. Change to larger double pointed needles and knit Pattern 2 once, then knit stockinette st. When the work measures 6 cm [2-3/8"], inc 1 st each side of marker 22 (22-24) times:
Sizes S+M: alternately every 4th and 5th row
Size L: every 4th row
= 96 (96-100) sts. When the work measures 44 cm [17.25"], put 2 sts each side of marker on a stitch holder and knit the rest back and forth on the needles. Put sts on a st holder for sleeve caps at each side every other row: 3 sts 4 (3-2) times, 2 sts 4 (7-9) times, 3 sts 4 (3-3) times. Put all sts from the stitch holder back on the needles; join and knit Pattern 3 once, bind off. The work measures approx. 55 (56-57) cm [21-5/8" (22" - 22.5")].

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 82-90 sts (divisible by 4 + 2) around the neck on smaller double pointed needles and knit 2 rows garter st, then 2 cm [0.75"] rib, bind off. Sew in the sleeves.

Hey, it's great being able to ask questions here! When binding off 2 stitches for the neck split, is it located where the marker for the start of the round is, or is it supposed to be between the two markers so that they mark the sleeve holes? thank you very much, i love you site!

DROPS Design 30.01.2017 kl. 11:54:

Dear Mrs Hadar, markers are for the sides (where armhole will be then), the 2 sts you cast off for neck split will be between 2 markers, where you have to work also the 6 sts in garter st on mid front, so that you will have 2 sts in garter st, cast off 2 sts, 2 sts in garter st mid on front piece. Happy knitting!

(cf dernier paragraphe "Assemblage"). Bon tricot!

Hadar 01.03.2016 - 21:34:

Hi, i loved the pattern! i didnt understand the sleeve section when the pattern said "when work measures 6 cm", does it reffer to the stockinette section only or the whole peace from the rib begginning? where do i start measuring the 6 cm and increasing? thanks a lottt!!

DROPS Design 02.03.2016 kl. 08:53:

Dear Mrs Hadar and thank you. The 6 cm have to be measured from the cast on edge, ie from the beg of sleeve. Happy knitting!
