Front: Cast on 45-52-58-65-73 sts on smaller needles and knit 4 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and stockinette st, keeping 3 sts in garter st at each side to finished measurements.
When the piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5 cm a total of 5 times – see Increasing tips = 55-62-68-75-83 sts.
When the piece measures 30-31-32-33-34 cm dec 1 st for armhole at each side every other row 2-5-7-9-12 times – see knitting tips = 51-52-54-57-59 sts. When the piece measures 45-47-49-51-53 cm K 1 row from wrong side, K 1 row from right side and K 1 row from wrong side, then bind off with K sts.

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front.

Twisted cord: 1 cord = cut 2 strands 2.5 m. long. Twist together until tight, then fold in half and let cord twist itself up. Make a knot on each end. The cord will be approx. 80 cm. Make a second cord. Thread 1 cord through each side. Start at the top where armhole shaping starts and lace back and forth inside 1 st until approx. 6-8 cm remain on Body, knot the cord together and let ends hang.

Merci
