Hei. Stemmer det at man skal øke mellom lusene i diagram A1 M-L på økning nr 5. Sånn som jeg leser mønsteret så får jo noen av lusene da en avstand på fire masker mellom seg, mens noen får tre masker mellom. Er dette riktig?

Hei Nina. Ja, det stemmer. mvh DROPS design

Is there an error in the quantities for this pattern? I have almost completed the body and am already using my last ball of background yarn ( even though I bought an extra so I could knit it a little bit longer if necessary) leaving about 40g for 2 sleeves! But I have left over more than 2 full balls of olive to knit 3 stripes on each sleeve and well over 1 full ball of green which wont be needed at all

Dear Christine, remember to check and keep the same tension as given in the pattern. Happy knitting!

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: GARTER STITCH (in the round - applies to jumper): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. PATTERN: Hat: See diagrams A.3 and A.4. Jumper: See diagram A.1 to A.3 - choose diagram for your size. Work the entire pattern in stocking stitch. DECREASE/INCREASE TIP (applies to increase evenly - applies to hat and jumper): To calculate how to decrease/increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 98 stitches), divide stitches by number of decreased/increases to be done (= e.g. 11) = 7.8. I.e. in this example increase after approx. every 8th stitch and decrease by working every 7th and 8th stitch together. Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, on next round work yarn over twisted to avoid holes. ELEVATION (applies to jumper): Insert 1 marker at beginning of round = mid back. Begin from right side with light pearl grey and knit as before until 11-11-12-13-13-14 stitches have been worked past marker, turn, tighten yarn and purl 22-22-24-26-26-28. Turn, tighten yarn and knit 33-33-36-39-39-42, turn, tighten yarn and purl 44-44-48-52-52-56. Turn, tighten yarn and knit 55-55-60-65-65-70, turn, tighten yarn and purl 66-66-72-78-78-84. Turn piece, tighten yarn and K until mid back. KNITTING TIP (applies to jumper): To avoid the knitting tension to tighten when working pattern, it is important not to tighten the strands on back side of piece. Switch to a higher needle number when working pattern if the pattern is somewhat tight. INCREASE TIP-2 (sides on body - applies to jumper): Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, make 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread is in the middle of these 4 stitches), make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. DECREASE TIP (mid under sleeve - applies to jumper): Begin 3 stitches before marker and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker is between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed. Cast on 112-116 stitches on circular needle size 3 mm with light pearl grey. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) for 3-4 cm. Knit 1 round while decreasing 4 stitches evenly in all sizes - READ DECREASE/INCREASE TIP = 108-112 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 3.5 mm and A.4 in the round (= 27-28 repetitions of 4 stitches). When A.4 has been worked 2 times vertically, work A.3 in the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.3 has been worked 3 times vertically, work A.3 one more time, but on 2nd round decrease 24-28 stitches evenly = 84 stitches in both sizes. On 9th round in A.3 decrease 28 stitches evenly = 56 stitches. When A.3 has been worked, continue with light pearl grey until finished measurements. AT THE SAME TIME when 6 rounds have been worked with light pearl grey, knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 28 stitches. Work 1 round without decrease. On next round knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 14 stitches. Work 1 round without decrease and knit all stitches together 2 by 2 on next round = 7 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Piece measures approx. 26-27 cm from top and down. POMPOM: Make a pompom of approx. 6 cm in diameter with light pearl grey. Sew the pompom on the top of the hat. ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER: Worked in the round on circular needle, top down. Sleeves are worked in the round on a short circular needle top down, switch to double pointed needles when needed. NECK EDGE: Cast on 84-88-92-92-100-104 stitches on circular needle size 3.5 mm with light pearl grey. Knit 1 round. Then work rib = knit 2/purl 2. When neck edge measures 3 cm, knit 1 round while at the same time increasing 6-8-10-10-8-10 stitches evenly - read DECREASE/INCREASE TIP = 90-96-102-102-108-114 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm. YOKE: Knit 1 round with light pearl grey. For better fit work an ELEVATION at the back of neck - see explanation above. Work A.1 (choose diagram for correct size and finish on round marked with arrow for correct size = 15-16-17-17-18-19 repetitions of 6 stitches). Read KNITTING TIP. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue pattern like this and increase as shown in diagram. When A.1 has been worked, there are 270-288-306-340-360-380 stitches on round and piece measures approx. 14-16-17-20-21-24 cm from cast-on edge and down, measured mid front. Then work A.2 over all stitches (= 15-16-17-19-20-22 repetitions of 18 stitches) and increase at the same time 0-0-0-2-0-16 stitches evenly on first round= 270-288-306-342-360-396 stitches. Continue pattern. When A.2 has been worked, work 0-0-2-0-2-0 rounds in stocking stitch with light pearl grey. Piece measures 23-25-27-29-31-33 cm from cast-on edge measured mid front. Now divide stitches for body and sleeves and work next round with light pearl grey as follows: Knit 38-40-42-49-52-60 and increase 0-1-2-0-2-0 stitches evenly (= half back piece), slip the next 60-64-70-74-76-78 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 8-8-10-10-12-14 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve), knit the next 74-80-82-96-104-120 stitches and increase 2-2-6-2-4-0 stitches evenly (= front piece), slip the next 60-64-70-74-76-78 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 8-8-10-10-12-14 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve) and knit the remaining 38-40-42-49-52-60 stitches and increase 0-1-2-0-2-0 stitches evenly (= half back piece). Finish body and sleeves separately. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 168-180-196-216-240-268 stitches. Knit 1 round with light pearl grey. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 8-8-10-10-12-14 stitches cast on under sleeve in each side = 84-90-98-108-120-134 stitches on front and back piece – move marker threads when working. Work A.3. NOW WORK PATTERN AND INCREASE AT THE SAME TIME. READ THE ENTIRE PATTERN AND INCREASE BEFORE CONTINUING: INCREASE: When piece measures 2 cm from division, increase 1 stitch on each side of both marker threads - read INCREASE TIP-2 (= 4 stitches increased). Work the increased stitches in the pattern. Increase like this every 4th round 16-17-18-18-19-18 times in total = 232-248-268-288-316-340 stitches. PATTERN: Work A.3 5 times in total vertically. Then work with light pearl grey until finished measurements. Work in stocking stitch until piece measures 33 cm from division. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and work 4 ridges over all stitches. Loosely cast off with circular needle size 4.5 mm. Entire jumper measures approx. 58-60-62-64-66-68 cm from shoulder and down. SLEEVE: Slip the 60-64-70-74-76-78 stitches from stitch holder in one side of piece on a short circular needle size 4.5 mm and pick in addition up 1 new stitch in each of the 8-8-10-10-12-14 stitches cast on under sleeve with light pearl grey = 68-72-80-84-88-92 stitches on needle. Knit 1 round with light pearl grey. NOW WORK PATTERN AND DECREASE AT THE SAME TIME. READ THE ENTIRE PATTERN AND DECREASE BEFORE CONTINUING: PATTERN: Work A.3 in the round. When A.3 has been worked 3 times vertically, work piece in light pearl grey until finished measurements. DECREASE: When piece measures 2 cm from division, decrease 2 stitches mid under sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2½-2-1½-1½-1½-1 cm 13-14-17-18-19-20 times in total = 42-44-46-48-50-52 stitches. Work until piece measures 37-36-34-33-31-30 cm from division. Knit 1 round while increasing 10-12-10-12-10-12 stitches evenly = 52-56-56-60-60-64 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm. Work rib in the round (= knit 2/purl 2). When rib measures 5 cm (the entire sleeve measures 42-41-39-38-36-35 cm from division), loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl with double pointed needles size 4.5 mm. Work the other sleeve the same way. |
