Knitting tension: 23 sts x 46 rows in garter sts = 10 x 10 cm. 28 sts of wave pattern = 10 cm in the width. Gater sts: Knit back and forth on all rows. Pattern: See diagram M.1 og M.2. The diagram are shown from the RS. Increasing tips (applies for the wide shoulder): Inc. inside 6 edge sts in garter sts as follows: make a yo. On the next row twist and knit the yo to avoid a hole. Button hole: 1 button hole = cast off the 3rd and the 4th st at the front band, on the next row cast on 2 new sts at the same place. Cast off for button holes when the piece measures: Size S: 14, 23, 32, 41 and 50 cm. Size M: 14, 23, 32, 41 and 50 cm. Size L: 11, 19, 27, 35, 43 and 51 cm. Size XL: 11, 19, 27, 35, 43 and 51 cm. Size XXL: 12, 20, 28, 36, 44 and 52 cm. Size XXXL: 12, 20, 28, 36, 44 and 52 cm. Back piece: Please read all of the back piece section before knitting it! Cast on 90-98-108-120-134-144 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on needles size 3.5 mm with Alpaca. Knit in garter sts – see explanation above. Remember the knitting tension! When the piece measures 6 cm inc. 1 st each side on every 7-5-5-5-7-7 cm a total of 4-5-5-5-4-4 times = 98-108-118-130-142-152 sts. When the piece measures 30 cm K 1 row from the RS at the same time inc. 20-20-18-18-18-18 sts evenly distributed = 118-128-136-148-160-170 sts. P 1 row from the WS, then knit the next row as follows from the RS: 1 edge st, 7-12-16-22-28-33 sts of M.2, M.1 over the next 102 sts, 7-12-16-22-28-33 sts of M.2 and 1 edge st. Continue this pattern for 37-38-38-38-38-39 cm. Now cast off 2-3-3-4-5-5 sts each side for the armholes = 114-122-130-140-150-160 sts. Please read all of the next section before knitting it! Knit the next row as follows from the RS: 6 edge sts in garter sts, 0-4-8-13-18-23 sts of M.2, then M.1 over the next 102 sts, 0-4-8-13-18-23 sts of M.2 and 6 edge sts in garter sts. At the same time inc. 1 st each side for wide shoulder – read increasing tips – as follows: Size S: On every other row 7 times and every 4th row 8 times. Size M: On every other row 4 times and every 4th row 9 times. Size L: On every other row 2 times and every 4th row 7 times and every 6th row 2 times. Size XL: On every 4th row 4 times and every 6th row 4 times. Str XXL: On every 6th row 4 times and every 8th. row 2 times. Str XXXL: On every 8th row 4 times. Incorporate new sts into M.2 as goind along = 144-148-152-156-162-168 sts. When the piece measures 55-56-57-58-59-60 cm finish M.1 and continue accordig to M.2 over all sts. At the same time beg. to cast off for the slanting shoulder on every other row as follows (cast off from the shoulder towards the neck): 14-14-15-15-16-17 sts 3 times and 13-15-14-16-16-16 sts 1 time. At the same time when the piece measures 56-57-58-59-60-61 cm cast off the mid 30 sts for the neck. Then cast off for the neck each side on every other row: 1 st 2 times. When all cast off’s are completed = approx. 58-59-60-61-62-63 cm. Left front piece: Cast on 51-55-60-66-73-78 sts (incl. 1 edge st at the side and 6 front band sts mid front) on needles size 3.5 mm with Alpaca. Knit in garter sts but P the 6 front band sts on each row until finish. When the piece measures 6 cm inc. at the side as done for the back = 55-60-65-71-77-82 sts. When the piece measures 30 cm K 1 row from the RS (knit front band as before) at the same time inc. 10-10-9-9-9-9 sts evenly distributed = 65-70-74-80-86-91 sts. P 1 row from the WS over all sts. Then knit the next row from the RS as follows: 1 edge st, 7-12-16-22-28-33 sts of M.2, M.1 over the next 51 sts and 6 front band sts as knitted as before. Continue this way until the piece measures 37-38-38-38-38-39 cm. Now cast off for armholes at the side as done for the back = 63-67-71-76-81-86 m. Please read all of the next section before knitting it! Knit the next row as follows from the RS: 6 edge sts in garter sts, 0-4-8-13-18-23 sts of M.2, M.1 over the next 51 sts and 6 front band sts knitted as before. At the same time inc. for wide shoulder as done for the back. When the piece measures 51-51-52-52-53-53 cm put 15 sts mid front on a thread or stitch holder for the neck. Continue the first repeat of M.1 where you cast off into -according to M.2. Then cast off for the neck on every other row as follows: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 4 times. When the piece measures 55-56-57-58-59-60 cm finish M.1 and continue according to M.2 over all sts. At the same time cast off for the slanting shoulder as done for the back piece. Cast off all sts when the piece measures approx. 58-59-60-61-62-63 cm. Right front piece: Cast on and knit as the left front piece but reverse. In addition cast off for button holes at the front band – see explanation above. Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew the side seams inside 1 edge st. Neck: Pick up approx. 90 to 110 sts around the neck line (incl the sts on the thread). Knit 6 rows of garter sts and cast off loosely. Crochet edge: Crochet with hook size 3 mm and 2 threads of Alpaca. Beg. mid back at the nape of the neck, crochet around the neck line down along the front edge around the bottom edge of the back and front pieces and up along the other front edge along the neck line and back towards the nape of the neck. Crochet as follows: 1 dc in the first st, * 3 ch, skip approx 1 cm, 1 dc in the next st* repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in the dc at beg. of round. Crochet the same way around the edges of the sleeves. Beg. Mid underneath the sleeves. Crochet buttons: Crochet a cover for 5-5-6-6-6-6 buttons using hook size 2 mm and 1 thread of Alpaca, as follows: Crochet 2 ch, then crochet 16 tr in the first of the 2 ch, finish with 1 sl st in the top of the first tr (= first round). 2nd round: Crochet 1 dc in each tr and finish with a sl st in the first dc on round (= 16 dc) 3rd round: Crochet first 3 ch and then 1 tr in every other dc and finish with 1 sl st in the 3rd ch at beg. of round (=8 tr). Put the button inside the cover, sew around the edge and pull tight tog. Sew the buttons on the left front band. |
