In this DROPS video we show how you can bind off your work from the wrong side.

On the wrong side you bind off the same way as from the right side, but the stitches are purled before they are passed over each other. When 1 stitch remains, cut the thread, and pull yarn through last stitch.

Bonjour Linda, je suppose que vous parlez des mailles à rabattre en haut des manches? Vous devez alors rabattre 2 fois 2 m de chaque côté (= 2 m au début des 4 rangs suivants), puis 2 mailles de chaque côté (sur l'endroit mais aussi sur l'envers) jusqu'à ce que la manche mesure 51 cm (dans votre exemple). Pour plus de sécurité, n'hésitez pas à nous indiquer le modèle concerné pour la suite, mais c'est généralement ainsi que le haut des manches est construit. Bon tricot!

In this DROPS video we show one way to bind off with yarn over so that you get an elastic edge. We show both how we bind off over knit stitch and purl stitch. In this DROPS video we show how you can bind off your work from the right side. You bind off to lock stitches that no longer will be worked to stop them from running. You also bind off stitches to shape arm holes, neck and shoulders. The bind off should neither be too firm or too hard, e.g. you need to be able to get the sweater over your head. To prevent binding off to firm you can use a larger needle then what you have used during your knitting. Binding off with knit stitches, you knit the stitches and then keep passing the next to last knitted stitch over the last knitted stitch. Mittens - before and after felting

In this DROPS video we show a pair of mittens before and after felting. To prevent the thumb from felting together, turn the mitten to WS (wrong side) and place a narrow silk ribbon along the thumb. Secure the ribbon with a safety pin – NB: insert the pin vertically towards the tip of the thumb so it is easy to remove after felting. Turn the mitten back to RS (right side) before felting. 1. Place the mittens in the washing machine with a wool detergent that does not contain enzymes or optical brighteners. 2. Wash at 40 °C / 104 °F, normal spin, no pre-wash. 3. Stretch and shape the mittens to the correct measurements while still wet. 4. If they turn out too small: soak in water until completely wet, then stretch back to the desired size. 5. Afterwards, the mittens can be washed as any other wool garment.
