
How to make a large buttonhole

In this DROPS video we show an easy way to create a large buttonhole in a knitted garment.
Adjust the number of sts that you bind off/cast on to the size of your button. In a thinner yarn you need to cast of more sts and in a thicker yarn less.
You must read the pattern to be able to follow. You’ll find patterns where you can use this technique by clicking on the pictures below.

The knitter has cast on two stitches using backwards loops. Look at the video "Cast on - with loops". My comment: This doesn't make a very nice looking buttonhole.

Ang. lukning af knaphul, så har jeg problemer med at se, hvad der sker, når der lukkes af.Ved første maskelukning er der pludselig 2 masker på pinden.Og jeg kan ikke se hvordan det sker, selvom jeg har kørt videoen utallige gange. Vh.Jane
