Hals 100m str. m.

Bon tricot!

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.5. Choose diagram for your size (applies to A.4 and A.5). INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly): To calculate how to increase, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 95 stitches), minus bands (e.g. 12 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 11) = 7.5. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after alternately every 7th and 8th stitch, do not increase over bands. On next row work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-2 (applies to sides of body): All increases are done from the right side. Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread is in the middle of these stitches), 1 yarn over. On next row purl yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. CAST-OFF TIP: To avoid a tight cast-off edge you may use a larger needle. If this also is too tight, make 1 yarn over after approx. every 5th stitch and cast off these as regular stitches. BUTTONHOLES: Decrease for buttonholes on right band (when garment is worn). Decrease from right side when 3 stitches remain on row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit the next 2 stitches together, knit last stitches. On next row knit yarn over to make holes. Decrease first buttonhole when rib in neck measures approx. 2½-3 cm. Then decrease the next 5-5-5-6-6-6 approx. 9-9½-10-8½-9-9 cm apart. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JACKET - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work neck edge and yoke back and forth on circular needle from mid front, work top down. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. Work body back and forth on circular needle, top down. Work sleeves in the round on double pointed needles/short circular needle, top down. NECK EDGE: Cast on 95-100-100-105-110-115 stitches (including 6 band stitches in each side towards mid front) on circular needle size 4 mm with Paris. Purl 1 row (= wrong side). Work next row as follows from right side: Work A.1 (= 6 stitches band), * knit 3, purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until 9 stitches remain on row, knit 3 and finish with A.2 (= 6 stitches band). Continue rib like this for 2½-3 cm and adjust so that next row is worked from right side – remember BUTTONHOLES on right band - read explanation above. Switch to circular needle size 5 mm. Insert 1 marker after band at the beginning of row mid front, measure yoke from this marker! YOKE: Now work pattern A.3 inside A.1 and A.2 in each side (continue band stitches in each side until finished measurements), increase at the same time evenly - INCREASE TIP-1, as follows: On 1st row increase 11-14-18-19-20-23 stitches evenly = 106-114-118-124-130-138 stitches. On 13th row increase 20-22-28-27-26-28 stitches evenly = 126-136-146-151-156-166 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When entire A.3 has been worked vertically, switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Now work pattern as follows (choose diagram for your size): Work A.1, A.4 over the next 4 stitches, * A.5 over next stitch, A.4 over the next 4 stitches *, work from *-* 22-24-26-27-28-30 times in total, finish with A.2. When diagrams have been worked, there are 214-232-250-286-296-316 stitches on needle. Continue with knit over knit and purl over purl and band stitches as before until piece measures 14-15-16-17-18-19 cm from marker after rib. Now work stocking stitch and band stitches as before until finished measurements. When piece measures 16-17-18-20-21-22 cm from marker after rib, increase 4-4-5-0-4-12 stitches evenly = 218-236-255-286-300-328 stitches. Then continue in stocking stitch until piece measures 18-20-22-24-26-28 cm from marker after rib. Now divide piece for body and sleeves. Work next row from wrong side as follows: Work the first 35-38-40-44-48-53 stitches (= right front piece), slip the next 45-48-53-60-60-64 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeves), work the next 58-64-69-78-84-94 stitches (= back piece), slip the next 45-48-53-60-60-64 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve and cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeves), work the remaining 35-38-40-44-48-53 stitches on round (= left front piece). Now finish body and sleeves separately. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 140-152-165-182-200-220 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread after 38-41-44-48-53-58 stitches in from each side (= in the side of body). There are 64-70-77-86-94-104 stitches between marker threads on back piece. Move the marker threads upwards when working; they should be used for increase later in the sides. Continue back and forth in stocking stitch with band stitches as before on circular needle size 5.5 mm. When piece measures 4 cm from division, increase 1 stitch on each side of marker threads - read INCREASE TIP-2. Increase like this approx. every 10 cm 3 times in total = 152-164-177-194-212-232 stitches. When piece measures 27 cm from division, increase 23-26-28-31-33-38 stitches evenly = 175-190-205-225-245-270 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Work rib from right side as follows: A.1, * knit 3, purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until 9 stitches remain on needle, knit 3, A.2. Continue rib like this for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl - read CAST-OFF TIP. Jacket measures approx. 53-55-57-59-61-63 cm from shoulder and down. SLEEVES: Slip the 45-48-53-60-60-64 stitches from stitch holder in one side back on a short circular needle/double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches under sleeve = 51-54-61-68-70-74 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the new stitches cast on in the side under the sleeve (= 3-3-4-4-5-5 new stitches on each side of marker thread). Move the marker thread upwards when working; they should be used for decrease later in the sides. When sleeve measures 4 cm, decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread under sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this approx. every 5-4-3-2-1½-1½ cm 7-8-10-13-13-15 times in total = 37-38-41-42-44-44 stitches. When piece measures 36-34-33-31-29-28 cm – or work until desired length (approx. 5 cm remain until finished length), knit 1 round while increasing 3-2-4-3-1-6 stitches evenly = 40-40-45-45-45-50 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work rib (knit 3/purl 2) in the round for 5 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl - remember CAST-OFF TIP. The entire sleeve measures approx. 41-39-38-36-34-33 cm. Work the other sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the buttons on to left band. |
