Bon tricot!

DROPS 69-27 |

Ridge (Back and forth on needle): 1 ridge of garter st = 2 rows. 1st row K, 2nd row K. Knitting tips: If the decrease is worked as described for the front piece it will give 13 holes up each side of front piece. If you don’t want holes, dec as for back piece. Decrease tips (for armholes + neck): All decrease is from RS. Dec inside the 3 edge sts which are worked as follows from edge (seen from RS): 1 st garter st, K 1, P 1. There are 2 types of decrease upwards, 1 with holes and 1 without. 1st decrease = dec with holes: Dec as follows 3 sts before edge sts: 1 YO, K 3 tog. Dec as follows after edge sts: Slip 1 st, K 2 tog and lift the slip st over, 1 YO. 2nd decrease = dec without holes: Dec as follows 2 sts before edge sts: K 2 tog. Dec as follows after edge sts: Slip 1 st, K 1 and lift the slip st over. Front piece: Cast on 70-76-82-88 sts (incl. 1 edge st in each side) using needle size 4.5 mm with 2 strands Safran. Change to 1 strand Cotton Viscose + 1 strand Safran, work 2 ridges. Change to needle size 5.5 mm, continue with stocking st. Remember knitting tension! When piece measures 8 cm insert marker threads 22-24-27-29 sts in from each side (in other words, there are 26-28-28-30 sts between the marker threads). Next row worked as follows (from RS) - see Knitting tips - 3 sts before marker: 1 YO, K 3 tog. After 2nd marker: Slip 1 st, K 2 tog and lift slip st over, 1 YO. Repeat this decrease every 4th row upwards 6 times – at the same time on the last 2 times, work as follows: After 1st marker: K 2 tog. 2 sts before 2nd marker: Slip 1 st, K 1 and lift slip st over. After all the decrease there are 54-60-66-72 sts remaining on needle. Work 5 rows stocking st. Next row is worked as follows: 1 YO before 1st marker and 1 YO after 2nd marker. Repeat this increase every 4th row upwards 7 times = 68-74-80-86 sts on needle. Read the following description before continuing! Armholes: When the piece measures 40-41-42-43 cm cast off 4-5-6-7 sts in each side for armholes – cast off in P seen from RS. Continue to decrease for armholes in each side inside 3 edge sts - see Decrease tips – repeat 1st decrease every 4th row upwards 4-5-6-7 times = 4-5-6-7 holes along armhole. Neck: At the same time, when the piece measures 47-48-49-50 cm work 1 ridge across the middle 18 sts. On next row cast off the middle 12 sts – cast off in P seen from RS. Continue decreasing for the neck inside the 3 edge sts - see Decrease tips – repeat 1st and 2nd decrease every 2nd row upwards 9-10-10-11 times = 5-5-5-6 holes along neckline. After all the cast off and dec for armholes and neck there are 11-11-12-12 sts remaining for each shoulder. Continue working with 3 edge sts in each side as described in Decrease tips until piece measures 58-60-62-64 cm. Cast off. Back piece: Cast on and work as for front piece, but there are no holes in the back piece. Cast off as follows (to prevent holes): 2 sts before 1st marker: K 2 tog. After 2nd marker: Slip 1 st, K 1 and lift slip st over. Inc as follows (to prevent holes): Pick up loop which is round st on previous row. Cast off for armholes as for front piece. Continue working until piece measures 55-57-59-61 cm. Now work 1 ridge over the middle 34-36-36-38 sts. On the next row, cast off the middle 28-30-30-32 sts for neck – cast off with P seen from RS. Continue to dec 1 st on next row towards neck - see Decrease tips and 2nd decrease = 11-11-12-12 sts remaining for each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 58-60-62-64 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams and sew side seams inside 1 edge st. |
