Hi Angela. You are supposed to decrease every other row as follows: 2 stitches 2 times in both sizes (2-2), and after that you are to decrease 1 stitch 3 times in both sizes (3-3). Happy knitting

Hi Angela. There's a measurement sketch at the bottom of the page, next to the diagrams. This contains all the different measurements in both sizes. Our graphics department will look through our archives for a different photo, and if a better one is found it will be uploaded shortly. Happy crafting

Ik vind het jammer dat er geen plaatje van de schouderwarmer en capuchon bijstaat. Ik kan me zo moeilijk een beeld vormen van hoe dit eruit gaat zien.

Knitting tension: 19 stitches x 30 rows with needle size 3 mm and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Crochet tension: 1 square measures approx. 10 x 10 cm. Colours of squares: Crochet 4 different squares: A, B, C and D. Square A: Round 1: ochre yellow/orange, round 2: olive/light olive, rounds 3 + 4: petrol green/petrol. Square B: Round 1: olive/lys olive, round 2: petrol green/petrol, rounds 3 + 4: brown/chocolate brown. Square C: Round 1: brown/chocolate brown, round 2: petrol green/petrol, rounds 3 + 4: olive/lys olive. Square D: Round 1: petrol green/petrol, round 2: brown/chocolate brown, rounds 3 + 4: ochre yellow/orange. Square: The squares are worked in different colours - see description above. Work 6 chain stitches with colour 1 and form them to a ring with 1 slip stitch. Round 1: Colour 1: 3 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets in ring, 3 chain stitches, * 3 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times. Finish with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round. Turn piece. Round 2: Colour 2: 3 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets in space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space, * 1 chain stitch, 3 treble crochets in next space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times. Finish with 1 chain stitch and then 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round. Turn piece. Round 3: Colour 3: 3 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets in space, 1 chain stitch, * 3 treble crochets in next space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space, 1 chain stitch, 3 treble crochets in next space, 1 chain stitch *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 3 treble crochets in next space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space, 1 chain stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round. Turn piece. Round 4: Colour 4: 3 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets in space, 1 chain stitch, * 3 treble crochets in next space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space, 1 chain stitch, 3 treble crochets in next space, 1 chain stitch, 3 treble crochets in next space, 1 chain stitch *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 3 treble crochets in next space, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets in same space, 1 chain stitch, 3 treble crochets in next space, 1 chain stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round. ------------------------------------------------------------ Jumper: Front and back pieces are worked separately. The crochet squares on bottom of jumper are attached to finish. Crochet edge: Work 5-5 squares of each of A and C, and 4-5 squares of each of B and D. Work them together with brown - see fig.1 shows how the squares are arranged. M. F = mid front. First work together 2 strips of 9-10 squares each - see the thin lines in diag.1. Then work the 2 strips together - see the thick lines in diag.1. Front piece: Cast on 97-107 stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side for seam) with needle size 3 mm and brown /chocolate brown. Work 1 ridge, continue with M.1 - start at arrow, i.e. 7 rows up the diagram. Continue by working M.2 and then M.3 to finished length. Remember the knitting tension; it is very important not to work too loosely with this type of yarn. At the same time, when piece measures 12-14 cm decrease for armholes in each side every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1-2, 2 stitches x 3-3, 1 stitch x 3-4 = 73-75 stitches. When piece measures 27-30 cm cast off the middle 19-21 stitches for neck. Continue to decrease for neck every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 2-2, 1 stitch x 3-3 = 20-20 stitches left on each shoulder. When piece measures 33-36 cm, cast off. Back piece: Cast on and work as for front piece. Decrease for armholes as for front piece = 73-75 stitches and work until piece measures 26-29 cm. Now cast off the middle stitches for split (easier to put on and take off jumper) = 36-37 stitches on each side. Each part is finished separately. When piece measures 31-34 cm cast off 14-15 stitches towards neck. Then decrease 2 stitches on next row towards neck = 20-20 stitches left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 33-36 cm - match pattern on front piece. Sleeve: Cast on 46-48 stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side for seam) with needle size 3 mm and brown. Work 2 ridges, continue with M.1 x 1, M.2 x 3 and then M.3 to finished length. At the same time, when piece measures 8-8 cm increase in each side: 1 stitch x 14-15 for: Size S/M: Alternately every 8th and 9th row. Size M/L: Alternately every 7th and 8th row = 74-78 stitches. When piece measures 48-47 cm decrease for sleeve cap in each side every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1-1, 2 stitches x 2-2, 1 stitch x 9-12, 2 stitches x 2-2, 3 stitches x 1-1. Cast off, piece measures approx. 58-59 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Knit up from mid back approx. 78 to 84 stitches around neck with needle size 3 mm and olive. Work 2 ridges, loosely cast off. With olive and hook size 4 mm, work one buttonhole at top of split’s left side as follows: 1 double crochet, 3 chain stitches, fasten with 1 double crochet 1 cm further down, continue with double crochets around the whole split. Sew on button. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one go inside the 1 edge stitch. Work the "square strips" to the bottom edge of the body inside the 1 ridge as follows: Work with brown and hook size 4 mm: * 1 double crochet in body, 2 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around chain-space on crochet square, * 2 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in body, 2 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in next chain-space on crochet square *, repeat from *-*. |
