Dag Simone,
Nee, de hals wordt niet omgeslagen.

Dear Baiba, there are no short rows in this pattern. Are you referring to another pattern? Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Choose diagram for your size. The pattern is worked in stocking stitch. STRIPES: Work stripes as follows: * 1 round with colour country fair DROPS Fabel + DROPS Kid-Silk. 1 round with colour grey DROPS Fabel + DROPS Kid-Silk *, work from *-*. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, from mid back and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles, top down. The whole garment is worked with 1 strand DROPS Fabel and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk (2 strands). NECK: Cast on 110-115-120-125-130-135 stitches with short circular needle size 3.5 mm, 1 strand colour country fair DROPS Fabel and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk. The piece is worked in STRIPES – read description above. Knit 1 round. Work rib (knit 2, purl 3) for 4 cm. Now decrease 1 stitch in each purled section by purling 2 together = 88-92-96-100-104-108 stitches. Continue working (knit 2, purl 2) until the neck measures 12 cm. Change to short circular needle size 4.5 mm. YOKE: Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round = mid-back; the yoke is measured from this marker! Knit 1 round and increase 8-10-18-20-22-24 stitches evenly spaced = 96-102-114-120-126-132 stitches. Work A.1 over all stitches. NOTE! Choose diagram for your size! REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1 is finished in height there are 256-272-304-320-336-352 stitches. Knit 1 round and increase 0-0-0-4-8-12 stitches evenly spaced = 256-272-304-324-344-364 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch until the yoke measures 20-22-23-25-27-29 cm from the marker. Now divide for the body and sleeves as follows: Work 38-40-44-49-53-56 stitches (half back piece), place the next 52-56-64-64-66-70 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-8-8-10-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), work 76-80-88-98-106-112 stitches (front piece), place the next 52-56-64-64-66-70 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-8-8-10-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), work the remaining 38-40-44-49-53-56 stitches (half back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately and both are measured from here! Cut the strand. BODY: There are now 164-176-192-216-236-248 stitches on needle. Start in the middle of the new stitches cast on under one sleeve. Continue with stocking stitch and stripes until the body measures 27 cm from the division. Knit 1 round and increase 8-8-12-12-12-12 stitches evenly spaced = 172-184-204-228-248-260 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 6 cm. Loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jumper measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from the shoulder down. SLEEVES: Place the 52-56-64-64-66-70 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-8-8-10-12-12 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 58-64-72-74-78-82 stitches. Insert a marker in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve. Allow the marker to follow your work onwards; it will be used when decreasing under the sleeve. Start at the marker and continue the stripes and stocking stitch. When sleeve measures 3 cm decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 6-4-3-2½-2½-2 cm a total of 6-8-11-11-12-13 times = 46-48-50-52-54-56 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 38-36-36-35-34-32 cm from the division. Knit 1 round and increase 2-4-2-4-2-4 stitches evenly spaced = 48-52-52-56-56-60 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The sleeve measures approx. 42-40-40-39-38-36 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
