In de benodigdhedenlijst staat een rondbreinaalden 5,5mm en 4,5mm terwijl in de werkbeschrijving de steken voor de hals op 4,0mm worden opgezet. Welke naald moet het zijn? 1 of 1,5mm kleiner? Alvast bedankt.

Dag Femke,
Vermoedelijk staat het verkeerd in de beschrijving, maar je hebt in ieder geval de dunnere naalden nodig voor het opzetten en de boordsteek en de dikkere naalden voor de rest. Het proeflapje maak je met de dikkere naalden. Als je een proeflapje hebt dat overeenkomt met het aantal aangegeven steken, dan kun je die naalddikte aanhouden voor de panden en je neemt 1 mm kleinere naald voor het opzetten en de boorden.

Ich möchte gern den hinteren Hals etwas höher gestalten und stelle mir vor, in der Runde, wo die Umschläge zwischen den 2 linken Maschen gemacht werden, (wo die Passe anfängt) mit verkürzten Reihen einen kleinen Ausschnitt zu machen ( 2 bis 3 x) Nun bin ich etwas blockiert und weiß nicht, an welcher Stelle innerhalb der Runde ich das machen kann. Es sollte dann ja auch mit dem Muster, welches viel weiter unten anfängt, stimmig sein. Vielen Dank im voraus

Knitted jumper in DROPS Nepal. The piece is worked top down with raglan, textured pattern and split in the sides. Sizes XS - XXL.
DROPS 226-42 |
|||||||
------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge in height = 2 rounds; Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. The diagrams show all rows in the pattern from the right side. INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on the needle (e.g. 72 stitches) and divide by the number of increases to be made (e.g. 4) = 18. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after each 18th stitch. On the next round work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. RAGLAN: Increase as follows: BEFORE THE MARKER: The new stitch twists to the right. Use the left needle to pick up the strand between 2 stitches from the previous round, pick up the back strand and knit in the front loop. AFTER MARKER: The new stitch twists to the left. Use the left needle to pick up the strand between 2 stitches from the previous round, pick up the front strand and knit in the back loop. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). CASTING-OFF TIP: To avoid the cast-off edge being tight you can cast off with a larger size needle. If the edge is still tight, make 1 yarn over after approx. each 6th stitch at the same time as casting off; the yarn overs are cast off as normal stitches. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle top down, from the transition between the back piece and the right sleeve. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle, then divided for the split, when the front and back pieces are finished separately back and forth. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles, top down. NECK: Cast on 72-72-78-84-90-93 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and DROPS Nepal. Knit 1 round, then work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 2) for 8 cm. Insert a marker. The piece is measured from here. YOKE: Now increase all purl-2 to purl-3 by making 1 yarn over between the 2 purled stitches (on the next round the yarn overs are purled twisted to avoid holes) = 96-96-104-112-120-124 stitches. Continue this rib (knit 1, purl 3) for 5-5-6-6-7-7 cm (= 13-13-14-14-15-15 cm rib). Knit 1 round where you increase 4-4-20-24-40-60 stitches evenly spaced – read INCREASE TIP = 100-100-124-136-160-184 stitches. Change to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Insert 4 markers and continue working and increasing as follows: Knit 1 (insert marker in this stitch = transition between back piece and right sleeve), increase 1 stitch – read RAGLAN, work A.1 over the next 5 stitches, A.2 over the next 6-6-12-12-18-18 stitches (= 1-1-2-2-3-3 repeats of 6 stitches), A.3 over the next 4 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1 (insert marker in this stitch = transition between right sleeve and front piece), increase 1 stitch, work A.1 over the next 5 stitches, A.2 over the next 24-24-30-36-42-54 stitches (= 4-4-5-6-7-9 repeats of 6 stitches), A.3 over the next 4 stitches, increase 1 stitch here, knit 1 (insert marker in this stitch = transition between front piece and left sleeve), increase 1 stitch, work A.1 over the next 5 stitches, A.2 over the next 6-6-12-12-18-18 stitches (= 1-1-2-2-3-3 repeats of 6 stitches), A.3 over the next 4 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1 (insert marker in this stitch = transition between left sleeve and back piece), increase 1 stitch, work A.1 over the next 5 stitches, A.2 over the next 24-24-30-36-42-54 stitches, A.3 over the last 4 stitches, increase 1 stitch. Continue this pattern and increase to raglan every 2nd round a total of 12-18-18-18-18-18 times = 196-244-268-280-304-328 stitches. The increased stitches are worked into A.1/A.3 and each time the diagrams are finished in height there is room for 2 more repeats of A.2 between A.1 and A.3. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When all the increases to raglan are finished, continue working without further increases until the piece measures 19-21-23-25-27-29 cm from the marker on the neck. Now divide for the body and sleeves on the next round as follows: Work the first stitch, place the next 39-51-57-57-63-63 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10 stitches (= in side under sleeve), work the next 59-71-77-83-89-101 stitches (= front piece), place the next 39-51-57-57-63-63 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10 stitches (= in side under sleeve), work the next 58-70-76-82-88-100 stitches and work the first stitch on the round (= 59-71-77-83-89-101 stitches on the back piece). Cut the strand. Body and sleeves are finished separately. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE. BODY: = 138-162-174-186-198-222 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the new stitches cast on under each sleeve (= 5 new stitches on each side of both marker threads). Start the round at one of the marker threads. Work pattern in the round as follows: * Knit 6, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 6 *, work from *-* 1 more time. When the piece measures 17 cm from the division, work pattern as follows: ROUNDS 1-2: * 1 stitch in garter stitch, knit 5, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 5, 1 stitch in garter stitch *, work from *-* 1 more time. Work 1 more round like this. ROUNDS 3-4: * 2 stitches in garter stitch, knit 4, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 4, 2 stitches in garter stitch *, work from *-* 1 more time. Work 1 more round like this. ROUNDS 5-6: * 3 stitches in garter stitch, knit 3, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 3, 3 stitches in garter stitch *, work from *-* 1 more time. Work 1 more round like this. ROUNDS 7-8: * 4 stitches in garter stitch, knit 2, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 2, 4 stitches in garter stitch *, work from *-* 1 more time. Work 1 more round like this. Try the jumper on and work to desired length; there is approx. 8 cm left to finished length. Now divide the front and back pieces as follows: Work the first 69-81-87-93-99-111 stitches and place them on a thread (= front piece), continue back and forth over the last 69-81-87-93-99-111 stitches (= back piece), starting from the right side as follows: ROW 1: 4 stitches in garter stitch, knit 2, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, knit 2, 4 stitches in garter stitch ROW 2: 4 stitches in garter stitch, purl 2, pattern as before over the next 57-69-75-81-87-99 stitches, purl 2, 4 stitches in garter stitch. Repeat rows 1 and 2. When the split measures 5 cm, change to circular needle size 4 mm and work rib from the right side as follows: 4 stitches in garter stitch, * knit 1, purl 2 *, work from *-* until there are 5 stitches left, knit 1, 4 stitches in garter stitch. Continue back and forth like this for 3 cm. Cast off with knit over knit, purl over purl and garter stitch over garter stitch – read CASTING-OFF TIP. The jumper measures approx. 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the shoulder down. Work the front piece in the same way. SLEEVES: Place the 39-51-57-57-63-63 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles/short circular needle size 5.5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 10 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 49-61-67-67-73-73 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the 10 stitches under the sleeve.. Continue in the round with the pattern as before, the 10 new stitches under the sleeve are knitted. When the sleeve measures 4 cm, decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker thread – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 7-5-3-3-2½-2½ cm a total of 2-6-9-8-10-9 times = 45-49-49-51-53-55 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 42-41-39-37-36-34 cm from the division (shorter measurements in larger sizes due to wider shoulders and longer yoke) – try the jumper on and work to desired length. Knit 1 round where the number of stitches is adjusted to 45-48-48-51-54-54 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 2) for 3 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – remember CASTING-OFF TIP. The sleeve measures 45-44-42-41-40-37 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
