How to do a yarn over when purling (wrong side of work)

In this DROPS Video we show how to do a yarn (yo) over when on the wrong side of your work. You make the yo exactly as when on the right side.

On the next row you can create a hole by knitting into the front loop of the yarn over.

Then we show again how to make the yarn over on wrong side, and then on next row we knit into the back loop to show how the yo (increase) that way become invisible, thus not creating a hole.

Hei Gro. Strikk masken (kastet) i bakre maskebue. Du vil nok få et lite hull, men mye mindre enn om du strikker i den fremste maskebuen. Se siste del av denne videoen. mvh DROPS design

Halfway through the video we have turned the work and show you how to work the yo in front or back loop depending if you prefer a larger or smaller hole. When working the back loop the stitch becomes twisted and this way the hole becomes a bit smaller. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. In this DROPS video we show how you can increase and make a new stitch by picking up the loop from the stitch on previous row. You can do it after or before a stitch just as we show in the video. Right side: put your left needle through stitch 2 rows below the stitch on the right needle. Lift it up on your left needle and knit it in the back loop. Left side: put your right needle into the stitch under the first stitch on your left needle. Pick up the loop and put it on your left needle. Knit this new stitch in the front loop, and also knit following stitch separate as usual. This is also a great method when you need to inc two stitches right next to each other, without having to work a stitch between them. You can knit 1, make a inc in the st below, then make an inc in the st below next st, then knit that st. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. In this DROPS video we show how you can increase with a loop (aka M1 = make one). This increase will make a little hole. In the video we show twice how you make a loop on right needle with the working thread away from you. You can make the increased stitch lean in different directions.
