Mfg Christel

On the yoke section of the Little Chestnut sweater one is asked to decrease two stitches on each side of the pearl sections 8 times. There are 11 pearl sections in all and that would be 2 times 11= 22 stitches (minus the first two pearls=20 stitches) In all 8 times = 160 stitches. The starting amount forsize 12/18 months was 290 stitches so 290 minus 160 = 130 stitches but after all dec are complete there should be 154 left. How can this be?
07.07.2020 - 01:35DROPS Design answered:
Hi Barbara, You decrease 1 stitch, alternately on the left and right sides of the pearled sections, which means 11 x 8 = 88 stitches. In addition, you decrease in each M.2 and all these decreases leave you with 154 stitches. Happy knitting!
