Great website, thanks. I am trying to attempt the poetry pillow and don't understand where it says, " (1 time in width). It's the one time in width, I don't get since the next time I knit A.1 over 18 stitches you don't have that stated in a paragraph beside it. Thanks for your help.
11.02.2024 - 20:18DROPS Design :
Dear Kristine, 1 time in width is an aclaration; since we stated it once in the pattern for each part, we don't repeat it again later, but it's still applied. It means that 1 repeat of A.1 on the round has exactly 18 stitches (as seen in the charts below) and 1 repeat of A.2 has 24 stitches. So it's clarifying that you work exactly 1 repeat of charts A.1 and A.2. Usually, when we indicate that a chart is worked "in width" it means on the same round/ horizontally. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

How many rows do I knit before I start the next cable row on the red riding hood boots please.
26.01.2022 - 16:25DROPS Design :
Dear Yvonne, do you mean this pattern? You work the first cable on 3rd row in A.1 then repeat the cables on every 8th row (= 7 rows without cable between each). Happy knitting!

Thank you. I figured that's what it was, but when I ended up with the wrong amount of stitches on my needles after a few rounds, I thought I should clarify. My biggest problem with that many stitches on circular needles at the beginning of a project is trying to keep my work from being twisted up!
