Wie ist es denn bei Vorder u d Rückenteil mit den Abnahmen. Da steht: 11x 1m jede Reihe, dann 18x 1m jede Reihe , jedoch jede 5. Reihe nicht. Was bedeutet das denn? Warum steht nicht direkt 29x jede Reihe 1x ? Für Gr. M

Liebe Jutta, bei Größe M nehmen Sie so ab: alle R. 1 M. x 11, danach alle R. 1 M. x 18 - jedoch alle 5 R. ohne abn.

Pattern directions say body length should be 20 cm. when the pocket goes in, and pocket is supposed to be 30cm. long. I've never put a pocket in before, but this seems incorrect to me. Would you please comment and give correct measurements. Many thanks, Sonja
18.09.2016 - 05:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Stephens, the pocket will be then folded double (= approx. 15 cm "deep") - see also "Pockets" instructions at the very end of the pattern. Happy knitting!

Gauge: 14 sts x 16 rows on larger needle in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm Rib: *knit 2, purl 2*. Repeat from *-*. Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows. Pocket lining (knit 2): Cast on 24 sts on larger double pointed needles and work in stockinette st for 30 cm. Put the sts on a stitch holder. Body: Cast on 156 (168-176) sts on smaller needles and knit rib for 3 cm keeping 1 edge st in garter st at on each side. Change to larger needles and stockinette st, increasing 2 sts evenly distributed on the first row = 158 (170-178) sts. Each edge st should be knitted in garter st for the seam allowance. When the work measures 20 cm, knit the next row as follows: knit 9 (9-9) sts, put 24 sts on a stitch holder for the pocket, knit 92 (104-112) sts, put 24 sts on a stitch holder for the pocket, knit 9 (9-9) sts. On the next row, insert the pocket lining (see instructions above) on the needle in the opening over the 24 sts of the body on the stitch holder. When the work measures 47 (50-52) cm work the next row as follows: 38 (41-43) sts for the front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 74 (80-84) sts for the back, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 38 (41-43) sts for the front. Put the work aside. Sleeves: Cast on 36 (36-40) sts on smaller double pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Work in rib for 5 cm. Change to larger double pointed needles and stockinette st. Inc 1 st at each side of marker 20 (20-20) times: Sizes S+M: every 3rd row Size L: alternately every 3rd, 3rd and 4th row = 76 (76-80) sts. When the work measures 49 (50-51) cm, bind off 2 sts each side of marker = 72 (72-76) sts. Put the work aside. Body: Put the sleeves in on the same circular needles as the body where you have bound off for armholes. Body and sleeves = 294 (306-322) sts. Place a marker at each join between the sleeves and body = 4 markers. Shape neck and raglan at the same time. Read the entire section before you begin. Front edge: At the front edges, shape neckline as follows: bind off 2 sts at each front edge 1 time, then dec 1 st every other row 2 times, then dec 1 st every 4th row 7 times. Sleeves: At the sleeve side of markers, shape raglan sleeve as follows: *dec 1 st at each marker every row 4 times, work next row without decreasing, dec 1 st at each marker next row* - repeat *-* 3 times, then dec 1 st at each marker every row 15 times Front and Back: At the body side of markers, shape raglan as follows: Size Small: * dec 1 st every row 4 times, work next row without decreasing * - repeat * - * for 26 decreases Size Med: dec 1 st every row 11 times, then * dec 1 st every row 4 times, work next row without decreasing * - repeat * - * for 18 decreases Size Large: dec 1 st every row 21 times, then * dec 1 st every row 4 times, work next row without decreasing * - repeat * - * for 10 decreases NOTE: Make decreases as follows: Before the marker: Right side: K 2 tog. Wrong side: slip 2 sts off needle, put them back onto left needle twisted (one by one), then P 2 tog into the back of the sts. After the marker: Right side: Sl 1, K 1, psso. Wrong side: P 2 tog. After the last decrease, 48 (48-56) sts remain. Then bind off 3 sts at each edge every other row 4 times. Bind off all remaining sts. Left scarf collar: Cast on 11 sts on smaller needles, knit in rib (keeping the first st in garter throughout, for sewing to the body). When the work measures 47 (50-52) cm, inc 1 st inside the garter st edge (still keeping the first st in garter throughout, and working all other sts in rib stitch) every other row 22 times = 33 sts. When the work measures 82 (85-88) cm bind off at the garter st edge every other row 4 sts 4 times, 3 sts 2 times, 11 sts 1 time. Right scarf collar: Cast on and knit like the left scarf collar, but when the work measures 1 (2-2) cm make first buttonhole, and space four more buttonholes 11 (12-13) cm apart. Make buttonholes as follows: Bind off the 3rd and 4th sts from garter st edge and cast on 2 new sts over the bound-off sts on the next row. Assembly: Sew collar to the body up along the front pieces to the neck in the center of the back. Sew the collar together at the center of the back. Pockets: Put the sts from the stitch holder on smaller needle and knit rib for 3 cm, bind off all sts. Fold the pocket lining over double, sew the edges together and then sew the pocket lining to the first row of the purled edge on the pocket. Sew the sides of the rib edge on the pockets onto the body. Sew on buttons. If desired, sew in shoulder pads. |
