Jag har upptäckt ett fel i mönstret :när man kommer till resåren i nederkanten på koftan, står det på räta varvet : "två vridna rätmaskor, två rätmaskor" . Det ska väl vara "två vridna rätmaskor, två aviga maskor".

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. INCREASE TIP (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 104 stitches), minus bands (= 10) and divide the remaining stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 16) = 5.8. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after approx. every 6th stitch. Do not increase over band stitches. On next row work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. BUTTONHOLES: Decrease for buttonholes on right band (when garment is worn). Decrease from right side when 3 stitches remain on row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit the next 2 stitches together, knit last stitch. On next row knit yarn over to make holes. Decrease first buttonhole when piece measures approx. 1 cm after neck edge. Then decrease the next 5-5-5-6-6-6 approx. 9½-9½-10-9-9-9 cm between each buttonhole. DECREASE TIP (applies to sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread is between these stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. CAST-OFF TIP: To avoid a tight cast-off edge when casting off, you may use a larger needle. If this still is too tight make 1 yarn over after approx. every 4th stitch while casting off (cast off yarn overs as stitches). ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JACKET - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth on circular needle, top down. The neck edge and yoke are worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front, work top down. Increase stitches on yoke. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. The body is worked back and forth on circular needle, the sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles / short circular needle. One half of both pockets are worked before yoke so that it can be worked into the piece. The pocket is worked back and forth and sew together as explained in pattern. POCKET (first half): Cast on 24-24-26-26-28-28 stitches (including 1 edge stitch in each side) on double pointed needle size 5 mm with DROPS Air. Work in stocking stitch with 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH in each side - read explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 11-11-12-12-13-13 cm, cast off the edge stitches = 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches. Slip stitches on 1 stitch holder. Work another pocket the same way. Put pockets aside and work the yoke. Work the second half of the 2 pockets after jacket has been finished, then assemble. NECK EDGE: Cast on 84-92-96-100-104-108 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm with DROPS Air (including 5 band stitches in garter stitch in each side). Purl 1 row from wrong side, then work next row as follows – from right side: 5 band stitches in garter stitch, rib (= knit 2 twisted, purl 2) until 7 stitches remain, knit 2 twisted and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. Work from wrong side as follows: 5 band stitches in garter stitch, rib (= purl 2 twisted, knit 2) until 7 stitches remain, purl 2 twisted and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. Work rib for 9 cm (= neck edge). YOKE: Switch to circular needle size 5 mm. Insert 1 marker at the beginning of row (= mid front), measure yoke from this marker! Decrease for BUTTONHOLES on right band - read explanation above. Knit 1 row from right side while increasing 1-3-4-15-16-17 stitches evenly - read INCREASE TIP = 85-95-100-115-120-125 stitches. Work in stocking stitch back and forth with 5 band stitches in garter stitch in each side until piece measures 3 cm from marker. Now work as follows from the right side: 5 band stitches in garter stitch (= band stitches), A.1 over the next 75-85-90-105-110-115 stitches (= 15-17-18-21-22-23 repetitions of 5 stitches), finish with 5 band stitches in garter stitch. When A.1 has been worked, there are 30-34-36-42-44-46 stitches= 115-129-136-157-164-171 stitches. Continue in stocking stitch and garter stitch until piece measures 9-9-10-10-11-11 cm from marker. Now work as follows from the right side: 5 stitches in garter stitch, knit 0-2-1-1-2-1, A.1 over the next 105-115-125-145-150-160 stitches (= 21-23-25-29-30-32 repetitions of 5 stitches), knit 0-2-0-1-2-0 and finish with 5 stitches in garter stitch. When A.1 has been worked, there are 42-46-50-58-60-64 stitches= 157-175-186-215-224-235 stitches. Then continue in stocking stitch until piece measures 15-16-17-18-19-20 cm from marker. Now work as follows from the right side: 5 stitches in garter stitch, knit 1-0-1-0-2-0, A.1 over the next 145-165-175-205-210-225 stitches (= 29-33-35-41-42-45 repetitions of 5 stitches), knit 1-0-0-0-2-0 and 5 stitches in garter stitch When A.1 has been worked, there are 58-66-70-82-84-90 stitches= 215-241-256-297-308-325 stitches. Knit 1 row while increasing 27-29-26-17-26-29 stitches evenly = 242-270-282-314-334-354 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and in garter stitch over bands until piece measures approx. 20-22-23-25-27-29 cm from marker. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves as follows: Knit 39-44-45-49-54-58 (= front piece), slip the next 48-52-56-64-64-66 stitches on 1 stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on row (= in the side under sleeve), knit 68-78-80-88-98-106 (= back piece), slip the next 48-52-56-64-64-66 stitches on 1 stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on row (= in the side under sleeve) and knit the remaining 39-44-45-49-54-58 stitches as before (= front piece). Finish body and sleeves separately. NOW MEASURE THE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 158-178-186-202-226-246 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and 5 band stitches in each side towards mid front. Work until piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm from division. Work next row as follows from right side: Work the first 11-11-11-13-13-13 stitches as before, slip the next 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches on 1 stitch holder (work the second half of pocket here later), work the 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches from one pocket (make sure to continue from right side of pocket), work until 33-33-35-37-39-39 stitches remain on needle, slip the next 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches on 1 stitch holder (work the other half of pocket here later), work the 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches from the other pocket (make sure to continue from right side of pocket), and work the last 11-11-11-13-13-13 stitches on needle as before. Work until piece measures 24-24-25-25-25-25 cm. 10 cm remain until finished measurements. Try the jacket and work to desired length. Now increase stitches to avoid the rib from contracting. Knit 1 row from right side while increasing 34-34-38-42-46-50 stitches evenly = 192-212-224-244-272-296 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and work next row – from wrong side as follows: 5 band stitches in garter stitch, * purl 2 twisted, knit 2 *, repeat from *-* until 7 stitches remain, purl 2 twisted and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. Work as follows from right side: 5 band stitches in garter stitch, * knit 2 twisted, knit 2 *, repeat from *-* until 7 stitches remain, knit 2 twisted and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. Work rib like this for 12 cm. Cast off loosely with knit over knit and purl over purl - read CAST-OFF TIP. Jacket measures 58-60-62-64-66-68 cm from shoulder and down. SLEEVE: Slip the 48-52-56-64-64-66 stitches from stitch holder in one side of piece on double pointed needles size 5 mm and pick up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches cast on under sleeve = 54-58-64-72-74-78 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread mid under sleeve, i.e. in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-12 stitches that were cast on under sleeves. Move the marker thread upwards when working; it should be used for decrease mid under sleeve. Begin round at the marker thread and work stocking stitch in the round. When sleeve measures 3 cm from division, decrease 2 stitches mid under sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 8-5-3-2½-2-2 cm 4-5-7-10-10-11 times in total = 46-48-50-52-54-56 stitches. Work without decreases until sleeve measures 32-30-30-29-28-26 cm (approx. 10 cm remain before finished measurements, try the jumper on and work to desired length). Knit 1 round while increasing 6-4-6-4-6-4 stitches evenly = 52-52-56-56-60-60 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work rib in the round (= knit 2 twisted/purl 2) for 10 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl - remember CAST-OFF TIP. Sleeve measures approx. 42-40-40-39-38-36 cm from division. Work the other sleeve the same way. POCKETS: Work back and forth on 2 double pointed needles. Slip the 22-22-24-24-26-26 stitches from right front piece on double pointed needles size 5 mm. On first row cast on 1 edge stitch in each side = 24-24-26-26-28-28 stitches. Work in stocking stitch with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side until piece measures 11-11-12-12-13-13 cm, loosely cast off. Work pocket on left front piece the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew pockets inside 1 edge stitch around the entire pocket. Then fasten pockets on the inside of jacket with a small stitch in each of the 2 bottom corners (should not be visible on right side of jacket). Sew the buttons on to left band. |
