Dear Claire, alpaca socks can get worn fast, so you can add a sole of a resistant material (such as made out of jeans) so that if will last slightly longer. Happy knitting!

Je haakt inderdaad 1 vaste in de 2de losse van de naald (in steek 88), 1 losse overslaan (steek 87). maar daarna haak je 1 vaste in ieder van de volgende 2 lossen, dus je haakt 1 vaste in steek 86 en 1 vaste in steek 85. Daarna herhaal je steeds wat tussen de beide sterretjes (*) staat.

ROW 1: ch 1 (= 1 sc), 1 sc in next st, * ch 4, 1 sl st in 1st ch (1 picot), 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts *, repeat from *-* until 1 st remains and finish with 1 sc last st, turn piece. ROW 2: ch 6 (= 1 tr + 2 ch), skip 1 sc + 1 picot + 1 sc, work 1 tr in next sc, * ch 2, skip 1 sc + 1 picot + 1 sc, work 1 tr in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the row, turn piece. ROW 3: ch 1 (= 1 sc), * work 1 sc + 1 picot + 1 sc in ch space, 1 sc in next tr *, repeat from *-* the rest of the row, turn piece. Then work M.1 - SEE EXPLANATION ABOVE. After M.1 there are 61-67-73 sc on the row. Now work as follows: ROW 1: Work 2 sc in first st and last st and 1 sc in the remaining sts at the same time work the middle 3 sts as follows: 2 sc in first st, ch 1 and skip next st, 2 sc in next st, (= 3 new sc on row), turn piece. ROW 2: Work 1 sc in every st and in ch in the middle work 9 dc (= leaf), (= 9 new sts on row), turn piece. Repeat row 1-2 until there are 133-151-169 sts on the row = 6-7-8 leaves mid front – piece measures approx. 4-4.5-5 cm / 1½"-1¾"-2" from M.1 and straight down. Now measure piece from here. Continue back and forth with 1 sc in every st. When piece measures approx. 3-3-3 cm / 1⅛", dec 1 st at the beg and at the end of row by working the first 2 sc and the last 2 sc tog into 1 sc – SEE EXPLANATION ABOVE. Repeat dec on every other row a total of 3 times. Slipper measures approx. 9-9.5-10.5 cm / 3½"-3¾"-4¼" from M.1 and straight down. Cut and fasten the thread. ASSEMBLY: Start under the foot at the front of toe. Sew tog edge to edge in front loop of outermost st to avoid a chunky seam. Sew tog mid under foot, up along the heel mid back and to the top of the slipper. Fasten off. |
