I am not a pro at diagrams, and I found this one very confusing. For one, I started from the top down in Diagram A1. Luckily I saw the video, but the knitting is covered by the lady’s hand. Have you considered writing the pattern out? It would be a big help. 🙏🏼

DROPS Design :

Dear Mrs Visconte, slippers start with 3 ridges in garter st, 2 rows stocking st, then lace pattern in A.1 (= K3, K2 tog, YO, K1, YO, slip 1 as if to K, K1, psso, K1, ...). Happy knitting!

In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a sock with a gusset heel - arguably the most common method for working a heel. To begin, the stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows: 1) The heel is first worked in height, back and forth across the heel-stitches. 2) Next, the bottom of the heel is worked to the required width and length by working short rows and decreasing stitches. 3) Once this step is completed, continue knitting in the round across all stitches, knitting up stitches on both sides of the heel (along the length). 4) The width and shape of the foot is worked by decreasing stitches on both sides, forming a small gusset heel – that is why this type of heel is known as a gusset heel.

In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand. Then we knit 4 rounds and on the next round we knit all stitches together 2 by 2. Then we work a rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1). These socks are worked in DROPS Fabel, but in the video, we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read a pattern with this technique to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show how we work after chart A.1 (flounces) and A.2 (lace pattern) to the “Kissing Kate” socks in DROPS 229-20. In this DROPS video we show how to work the “Carrot Squash” slippers in DROPS 203-37. We have already cast on stitches for size 35/37 = US 4.5/6.5 and start the video by showing round 1 (only Knit). Then the rib, K1, P1. After the rib put 31 stitches on a stitch holder, work the other stitches back and forth. Then work these stitches, the new pickup stitches along the sides and the stitches from the stitch holder, and work around again. Decrease stitches and work around to finish measurement, bind off and fold the slipper and sew under foot in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. These slippers are worked in DROPS Snow, the same yarn we use in the video. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly.
