Knit: short rows and pattern for circle jacket 154-8.

Here we show how you work the short rows and pattern for the jacket 154-8. In the video we cast on for size S/M (86 st) and already knitted 1 ridge in garter st.
Then we work the pattern as follows:
(1st row = from RS): 5 sts in garter st, K 2, P 3, (turn here), K 2, A.1 (= 23 sts) (turn here), K 1, A.2A, A.2 B over the next 8-14-20 sts, A.2 C, K 2, (turn here), A.1(= 23 sts), K 2, P 3, K 2, 5 sts in garter st.
At the same time the short rows are worked as described: * Work 1 row over the first 10 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over the first 35 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over the first 51-57-63 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over all sts, turn and work back *. Repeat from *-*
When short rows have been repeated 1 time there are 8 rows at the widest and 2 rows at the most narrow.
REMEMBER - you will also need to read the pattern to be able to follow.

DROPS Design :

Dear Sele, it's really a 4 row pattern not 7 row pattern. You can simply work rows 1-4 of A.2 or, right before starting A.2 anew you can work a stocking stitch row (row with blank squares). Happy knitting!

Bonjour Mme Delval, vous allez devoir tricoter le point fantaisie (les différents diagrammes) et les rangs raccourcis en même temps, autrement dit, vous allez tricoter ces diagrammes à un rythme différent en fonction de votre taille et des rangs raccourcis. Suivez attentivement la vidéo en lisant bien les explications en même temps pour bien comprendre ce qu'on y fait. Bon tricot!

Liebe Frau Baumfalk, im Video werden bei der 2. verkürzten Reihen 35 M gestrickt, dh wie in der Anleitung: 5 M kraus rechts, 2 M re, 3 M li, (hier wenden bei der 1. verkürzten Reihen), 2 M re, A.1 (= 23 M) (hier wenden bei der 2. verkürtzten Reihen). Viel Spaß beim stricken!

The first time, near the beginning of the row, we are on Row 5 of that chart A.1 When she begins Chart A.1 for the 2nd time on this row of knitting, which row is she doing on the chart? Row 5 as earlier on the needle, or Row 1, beginning a new column of the lace pattern from the start?

Dear Mrs Franks, When you work row 7 (= 1st row from RS over all sts), follow diagram as they have to be worked, ie 1st A.1 at beg of row from RS = work row 5 in diagram on this row 7, but work 1st row of A.1 at the end of row. Follow each diagram separately, ie you will have more repeats in height in 1st A.1, and less repeats in last A.1. Happy knitting!

In this DROPS video, we demonstrate how to knit up stitches around an armhole for a split-sleeve. We begin by showing you how to use a crochet hook to knit up stitches and transfer them onto a knitting needle. Then, we continue by showing you how to work with the stitches using knitting needles. Start at the bottom of the armhole (not directly under the sleeve) and knit up the number of stitches specified in your pattern, going as far as the other side of the armhole. Knit up the stitches within one stitch, which is often a garter stitch. Turn and work back, continuing back and forth to the measurement specified in your pattern, or use short rows for a better fit. Once completed, the sleeve is joined and worked in the round. Refer to your pattern for details on measurements, decreases, and the ribbed cuff. In this video, we demonstrate only 6–7 = 2⅜"-2¾" cm of the sleeve. Finally, sew together the hole under the sleeve. To make the seam and sewing easier to see, we use a contrasting color in the video. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the sleeve to the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We also show how to sew the front band stitches to along the neckline. We use the stitch numbers for size M. Read in the pattern how many stitches to knit up under the sleeve, where and how often to decreases, change needle size and the length of the rib. Sew in the buttons. Sew the bands together mid-back, then sew the bands to the neckline, stretching the bands a little to sew it on. This jacket is worked in DROPS Daisy, but in the video, we use DROPS Cotton Merino color no. 30. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the picture below. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with an I-cord edge, some of chart A.1, A.2, A.3 and A.4 (see video Part 1) and worked YOKE until the part divide for body and sleeves. (see video Part 2). We start the video by working the row where we divide the bodies and sleeves (from right side). Read under DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES – ALL SIZES in the pattern. In size M there should then be 235 stitches for the body and 56 stitches for each sleeve. Then it is working from wrong side and work 2nd row in the charts as follows: Work 7 band stitches as before, A.6, A.3 until there are 12 stitches left, A.5 and 7 band stitches as before. * Work 7 band stitches as before, A.5, A.3 until there are 13 stitches left, A.6 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height. Continue with 7 band stitches as before, A.7, A.3 until there are 18 stitches left, A.8 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height *. Work from *-* until the body have the specified length (18 cm in size M), finishing after a complete repeat of A.3 in height. Remember the buttonholes. In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked two time in height, you will work 2 more repeat of A.3 between A.2 and A.4 (= 4 reports of A.3). When A.1 has been worked 1 time in height, the increases towards mid-front are finished, and except size S, continue increasing for raglan in each transition between body and sleeves. Read under the PATTERN and under the size you knit how to work the next row (we use stitch markers between the charts to get a better overview). Remember BUTTONHOLES. When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 more time in height, all the increases are finished and there are now 317 stitches on the needle and the work measures approx. 27 cm = 10⅝" from the shoulder (size M).
