----------------------------------------------------------

INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN:

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
1 ridge = Knit 2 rows.

INCREASE TIP:
Increase by making 1 yarn over. On the next row knit the yarn over twisted to avoid a hole.

DECREASE TIP:
All decreases are made from the right side!
Decrease as follows after the 1 edge stitch: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch.
Decrease as follows before the 1 edge stitch: Knit 2 together.

MEASUREMENT TIP:
All measurements are made when the slipper is lying flat - it is important not to stretch the piece when measuring. The rib is elastic and the piece measures approx. 16-17-19 cm / 6 1/4"-6 3/4"-7½'' in width.
----------------------------------------------------------

The piece is worked back and forth on the needle. Start with the flap on top of the slipper, continue down under the foot and up to the end of the other flap on top of the slipper. Then sew together mid front of toe and mid back of heel.

SLIPPER:
Cast on 5 stitches with needle size 4 mm / US 6 and 2 strands pink. Work 12 RIDGES - see description above. Continue with garter stitch, AT THE SAME TIME on the first row increase 1 stitch inside the 1 edge stitch in each side - read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 2nd row a total of 6-6-7 times = 17-17-19 stitches on needle. Then cast on 5-6-7 stitches at the end of the next 2 rows = 27-29-33 stitches. Work 1 row from the right side where you work 2 stitches in each stitch = 54-58-66 stitches. Work 1 row from the wrong side.
Then continue with 1 strand pink and + 1 strand dark pink (= 2 strands). Now work rib as follows – from the right side: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 1, * purl 2, knit 2 *, work from *-* until there are 4 stitches left on the row, purl 2, knit 1 and work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Continue this rib for 6½-7-8 cm / 2½"-2 3/4"-3''. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE – read MEASURING TIP. Insert 1 marker in each side (= mid under foot). Continue with rib for 6½-7-8 cm / 2½"-2 3/4"-3'' from the markers; adjust so that the next row is worked from the right side.
Continue working with 2 strands pink and garter stitch to finished length. Work 1 row from the right side where all stitches are worked together 2 and 2 = 27-29-33 stitches. Work 1 row from the wrong side. Bind off 5-6-7 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 17-17-19 stitches. On the next row from the right side decrease 1 stitch inside the 1 edge stitch in each side - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this on each row from the right side a total of 6-6-7 times = 5 stitches. Work 12 ridges, bind off.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold the slipper at the markers. Sew together in both sides - sew inside the 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Make a knot with the flaps. Work 1 more slipper in the same way.

Forme qui semble facile à faire au niveau du talon et des pointes . Idéal débutantes en chaussons .
