NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round):
1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.4. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side.

BINDING OFF TIP:
To avoid the bind off edge being tight, you can bind off with a ½ needle size larger.
----------------------------------------------------------

PILLOW:
The piece is worked in the round with circular needle.
Cast on 106 stitches with circular needle size 9 mm / US 13 and 2 strands Air. Work 1 RIDGE – see description above. Then work as follows: Purl 3 stitches, A.1 (= 4 stitches) over the next 16 stitches, A.2 (= 23 stitches), A.3 (= 4 stitches) over the next 64 stitches. When A.2 has been worked 1 time in height there are 114 stitches on needle. Continue with A.4 (= 31 stitches) over the stitches in A.2, the remaining stitches are continued as before. Continue this pattern upwards. REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 44 cm / 17 1/4'' decrease 4 stitches evenly over the cables in A.4 = 106 stitches. Work 1 ridge and bind off - read BINDING OFF TIP.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold the piece in each side so that the cables are mid front of cover. Sew the top edges together, edge to edge in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. Lay a pillow inside the casing and then sew the bottom edges together.
