Measurements: Circumference: 64-72 cm / 25"-28½" Height: approx. 22-27 cm / 8 3/4"-10½"

DROPS Hook size 6 mm / J/10 - or size needed to get 12 dc x 7 rows = 4'' x 4'' (10 x 10 cm), or 1 repetition of A.1 = width 8 cm / 3 1/8''.

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. CROCHET INFO:
Replace first sc at beg of every sc round with 1 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round.
Replace first dc at beg of every dc round with 3 ch. Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round.

PATTERN:

CROCHET 2 dc TOG (in dc):
Work 1 dc in next dc but wait with last pull through, work 1 dc more in same dc, but on last pull through, pull through all sts on hook.

WORK 2 dc TOG (AROUND CH):
Work 1 dc around the middle ch in dc-group but wait with last pull through, work 1 dc more in same ch, but on last pull through, pull through all sts on hook.

DC-GROUP:
Work a dc-group around ch-space as follows: Work * 1 dc, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 2 more times around same ch-space, 1 dc around same ch-space.

DECREASE TIP (hat):
Work 2 dc into 1 dc: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next dc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook.
Work 2 sc into 1 sc: Work 1 sc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next sc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook.

HAT:
Work in the round, bottom up.
Work 71 ch on hook size 5.5 mm with Air and form a ring with 1 sl st. Work next round as follows: Work 3 ch - READ CROCHET INFO, then work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (= 2 dc), skip ch 1, 1 dc in each of the next 8 ch, * skip ch 1, work 1 dc in each of the next 9 ch *, repeat from *-* 5 more times = 64 dc. Work 4 rounds with 1 dc in each dc. On next round work pattern as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 3 ch (= A.1). Then work A.2 as follows: * Work 2 dc TOG (in dc) - see explanation above, ch 5, skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 3, skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 5, skip 2 dc *, repeat from *-* 6 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round (= A.1).
ROUND 2: Work ch 1, * work 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, work 1 dc-GROUP - see explanation above, around next ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space *, repeat from *-* 6 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round.
ROUND 3: Work ch 1, * ch 2, 1 sc around next ch-space, ch 5, work 2 dc TOG (around ch) - see explanation above, ch 5, 1 sc around next ch-space after dc-group, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 6 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round.
ROUND 4: Work ch 3, work (1 ch, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around first ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, * (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around next ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space *, repeat from *-* 5 more times, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around last ch-space. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round.
ROUND 5: Work ch 3, * work 2 dc TOG (around ch), ch 5, work 1 sc around ch-space after dc-group, ch 3, 1 sc around next ch-space, 5 ch *, repeat from *-* 6 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
ROUND 6: Work as 2nd round.
ROUND 7: Work as 3rd round.
ROUND 8: Work as 4th round.
ROUND 9: Work 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, * work 2 dc around first ch-space, 1 dc in next sc, 2 dc around next ch-space, work 1 dc in each of the 4 dc in dc-group below *, repeat from *-* 5 more times, work 2 dc around next ch-space, 1 dc in next sc, 2 dc around next ch-space, work 1 dc in each of the 2 dc in dc-group below = 64 dc.
Now continue with 1 dc in every dc. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 15 cm / 6'', insert 7 markers in the piece, 9 dc apart. NOTE: There are 9 dc + 3 ch after last marker. On next round dec after every marker - SEE DECREASE TIP = 57 dc. Work 1 round without dec. Repeat dec every round 4 times = 29 dc. Then work 3 rounds with sc AT THE SAME TIME continue dec on every round = 8 sc remain. Cut the yarn, baste it up and down through sts, pull yarn to tighten and fasten tightly. The hat measures approx. 25 cm / 9 3/4'' vertically.

NECK WARMER:
Work 83-93 ch on hook size 6 mm / J/10 with Air and form a ring with 1 sl st. Work as follows: Work 3 ch - READ CROCHET INFO, 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (= 2 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 1-3 ch, * skip ch 1, 1 dc in each of the next 7 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 73-82 dc. Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Work 1 round with 1 dc in every dc. Then work PATTERN - see explanation above, as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 3 ch (= A.1). Then work A.2 as follows: * Work 2 dc TOG (in dc) - see explanation above, ch 5, skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 3, skip 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 5, skip 2 dc *, repeat from *-* 7-8 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round (= A.1).
ROUND 2: Work ch 1, * work 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, work 1 dc-GROUP - see explanation above, around next ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space *, repeat from *-* 7-8 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round.
ROUND 3: Work ch 1, * ch 2, 1 sc around next ch-space, ch 5, work 2 dc TOG (around ch) - see explanation above, ch 5, 1 sc around next ch-space after dc-group, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 7-8 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round.
ROUND 4: Work ch 3, work (1 ch, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around first ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, * (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around next ch-space, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space, 1 sc in the 2 dc worked tog, ch 3, skip 1 ch-space *, repeat from *-* 6-7 more times, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) around last ch-space. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round.
ROUND 5: Work ch 3, * work 2 dc TOG (around ch), ch 5, work 1 sc around ch-space after dc-group, ch 3, 1 sc around next ch-space, 5 ch *, repeat from *-* 7-8 more times. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch on round. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
When entire diagram A.1 and A.2 have been done vertically, repeat 2nd-5th round (= A.X) 3-4 more times vertically but last time finish after 4th round. The neck warmer measures approx. 22-27 cm / 8 3/4"-10½'' vertically. Fasten off.
