Hola!

Buon lavoro!

I am working on the large gingerbread house and am confused... why are there 2 roofs and 2 houses? Is there a reason to double this up? Why so thick? And I’d the bottom supposed to be open for something? An assembly video about the parts and how they go together would be super helpful! Thank you!
02.12.2017 - 17:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Burgoyne, you crochet 2 houses and 2 roofs so that they will be double and potholder will be thicker (to make a better protection against warmth). They are then crocheted together, working 1 st in both layers (piece from the top side + piece from the down side) as shown in this video. Happy crocheting!

Bon crochet!

These would make a great craft for younger children. You could crochet several blank gingerbread houses, and the kids (or yourself) could decorate them with squeeze tubes of puffy fabric paint, like frosting a real gingerbread house, and they could even embed beads or small clay shapes into the paint like candy decorations in frosting.
