Hi, what a gorgeous bag. I'm going to make it for my sister for Christmas. So glad I can get the wool in the UK. Do I change back to 5mm needles when knitting between the flounces? Sorry if I've missed that piece of information.
15.06.2020 - 13:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Helen, work the flounces together with needle size 3,5 mm. Happy knitting!

LG

I am making the first flounce and the numbers are not adding up for me. I cast on 168 stitches, worked 8 rounds and then K1, K2tog (repeating that) for a round. I end up with 126 stitches on my needle and not 112. When I do the math - 168 stitches, half of them will be knit (84) and half (84) will be knit in pairs (42); 84+42 = 168. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much for your help!!
30.06.2016 - 01:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Jeffries, there were 168 sts, then work a total of 56 times (K1, K2tog) to decrease, so that it remain 56 times 2 sts = 112 sts. Happy knitting!

I found that the amount of stitches to start with did not work out for me when knitting in the round to do moss st. I had to add 1 stitch to make 113 to make the spiral at the join not be 2 knits together or 2 purls together when going to the second round. I hope that makes sense. Also Im having trouble with the flounces curling is anyone else having that trouble? Kim
