Hej Felicia, tror du måste fråga hos din lokala garnbutik. Om du räknar maskorna både före och efter, så bör det vara samma, bara i ny färg. Lycka till :)

Buonasera Emanuela, può utilizzare questa tecnica per cambiare gomitolo, ma quando il filo è sottile può semplicemente lavorare un paio di punti con entrambi i gomitoli e poi proseguire con il nuovo gomitolo. Buon lavoro!

There are many ways to join a new ball of yarn when you run out of yarn. In this DROPS Video we show how to make a more or less invisible join by making a double knot. We use two different colors to make it easier to follow. With the new yarn go under the working yarn, go over both strands and through the loop and tighten. Then repeat by taking the working yarn under the new yarn, over both strands, through loop and tighten. Then pull each yarn to tighten the double knot in the center, pull tight to secure. Cut both tails as close as possible. Keep working on your project.

Switching skeins

When switching from one skein to next when knitting with eg Polaris or Snow, split the old strand in two on the last 15 cm / 6'' – cut off one part, do the same on the new strand. Place the first and last 15 cm / 6'' on top of each other so that the yarn is the normal thickness and continue to work – this is done to make the switch invisible and no ends to weave in.

Makes a strong and invisible join and can be used on yarn of any kind of fiber also were felting is not an option, i.e. cotton, acrylic etc. Make sure to sew in the middle of the strand.

Make a felted and strong join, when joining a same color wool yarn. There will be no loose ends to seem away when you are done. Moist the palms of your hands, rub the loose ends between your hands with pressure, and they will felt together.

How to weave in end when working a new color in the round

When knitting with multiple colors or when just changing from one to another color, you can weave in the end as you continue with the new color. When you start the new color you want to make sure to twist the loose end around your previous color to avoid a hole, then place the working yarn behind the tail, and pick up the yarn alternating above and under the tail end to weave it in. Weave for about 4-6 sts and then you can cut the remaining tail. This way you don't have to fasten the threads at the end.
