Buon lavoro!

When I print the chart out it isn't legible. Is there any way you can make a higher resolution chart.

Hallo! LG Christiane

Where I am to increase from 56 stitches to 58 stitches, what do I do with the extra two stitches? There are only repeats of 8 stitches throughout the pattern, but I want the heel to work. Please help.
18.05.2017 - 06:26DROPS Design answered:
Hi Mary, After you have completed A.1, you work a round with apple green, where you increase from 56 to 58 stitches. Then carry on with the text and work the heel. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Deirdre

Started 178-22 and just noticed that chart A1 is small and the rows are not numbered. I have very old eyes and was wondering if there is another version of this chart easier to read numbered and perhaps coloured?

Dear Kathy, you can enlarge it when printing or photocopying diagram to have a larger overview. Happy knitting!

? Je vous remercie pour votre réponse

Knitted socks with sheeps in DROPS Fabel. Size 35-43.
DROPS 178-22 |
||||||||||||||||||||||
HEEL DECREASE: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until 6-7-7 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until 6-7-7 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. Continue decrease like this with 1 stitch less before each decrease until there are 14-14-16 stitches on needle. ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 60-64-68 stitches on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with grey blue. Work 1 round in stocking stitch. Continue with rib = knit 2/purl 2 for 4 cm. Knit 1 round while at the same time decrease 4-8-4 stitches evenly = 56-56-64 stitches. Then work according to A.1. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, work A.2 over A.1. Knit 1 round with apple green and adjust number of stitches to 54-58-62 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Work sock with apple green until finished. Now keep the first 26-28-30 stitches on needle for heel and slip the last 28-30-32 stitches on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot). Work in stocking stitch back and forth over heel stitches for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert 1 marker after last row. Now work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above. After heel decrease work in the round in stocking stitch. Work next round as follows: Work stitches from heel, pick up 13-14-16 stitches along side of heel, work stitches from stitch holder and pick up 13-14-16 stitches along the other side of heel = 68-72-80 stitches. Insert 1 marker on each side of the 28-30-32 stitches on top of foot. Then decrease in each side as follows: Knit tog the last 2 stitches before first marker mid on top of foot twisted (i.e. work in back loop of stitch instead of front) and knit tog the first 2 stitches after last marker on top of foot. Repeat decrease every other round a total of 8-8-10 times = 52-56-60 stitches. Work until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from marker on heel (= 4-5-6 cm remain before cast-off). Insert 1 marker in each side so that there are 26-28-30 stitches both on top of foot and under foot. Continue working stocking stitch while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing for toes on each side of both markers as follows: Before markers: Knit 2 together. After markers: Knit 2 twisted tog (= 4 stitches less per decrease). Repeat decrease in each side on every other round a total of 4-7-9 times and then on every round a total of 6-3-2 times = 12-16-16 stitches remain on needle. On next round work all stitches together 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. |
