Bij de mindering voor de oksel zit er een fout in de berekening in de grootste maat met de fijnste draad: 112 steken - 2x 6st= 100 en niet 80 steken waar in het patroon mee verder gewerkt wordt.

There is no “Pattern 1” listed in the instrument. Please provide. Thank you.

Dear Mrs Crowley, what is called 'Pattern-1" in the written pattern refer to the diagram M.1 beside the measurement chart. That's a small diagram worked over 8 sts and 4 rows. Read more about diagrams here. Happy knitting!

06.02.2014 - 14:33DROPS Design answered:
Hoi Angela. Je breit de mouw in de rondte. Je meerdert aan beide kanten van de eerste st op de nld = midden van de ondermouw.

In the cast on there are 3sizes . For instint I will be doing the small so it says cast on 100sts but then in brackets it give another number of sts. What is the meaning of those stitches in the brackets? The way I see it is if I am doing it in the round I would cast on 100sts and if I was doing it flat I would cast on 70? Is that correct. Please help
12.04.2012 - 15:17DROPS Design answered:
The pattern comes in 2 yarn thicknesses, the numbers for the thicker yarn is in the brackets.

Please explain the cart pattern. Can't seem to make it out. What is the meaning of M1. P4 Is there a way I can get this pattern printed out without a chart? Thanks
12.04.2012 - 14:57DROPS Design answered:
M.1 is the name of the chart = Pattern 1. Repeat row 1-4 starting from RS. 1st row RS: K 2 tog, yo, K 2 tog, yo, K 2 tog, yo.. and so on. 2nd row WS: purl across. 3rd row RS: *yo, slip 1, K 1, pass the slipped st over*, repeat *-* across. 4th row WS: purl across.

DROPS jumper in Tynn Cotton Chenille with lace pattern and crochet edges
DROPS 64-20 |
||||||||||
Knitting tension: Tynn Cotton Chenille: 20 stitches x 32 rows with needle size 2.5 mm and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Cotton Chenille: 14 stitches x 26 rows with needle size 4 mm and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Remember needle size is only a guide! Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Pattern: See diagram - M.1 - the pattern in the diagram is seen from the right side. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Front piece: Front and back pieces are worked back and forth on needle because the Chenille yarn has a tendency to twist when worked in the round. Cast on 100-106-112 (70-74-80) stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side) with needle size 2.5 mm (4 mm) and off white and work 2 ridges. Continue with stocking stitch, but the 1 edge stitch in each side is worked in garter stitch upwards. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 14-15-16 cm work M.1 for 7 cm (edge stitches in garter stitch). Then continue with stocking stitch. When piece measures 30-31-32 cm cast off for armholes in each side every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1-1-1 (1-1-1), 2 stitches x 3-4-5 (2-2-3), 1 stitch x 3-3-3 (2-3-4) = 76-78-80 (52-54-54) stitches. At the same time, when piece measures 33-34-35 cm work M.1 for 7 cm. Then finish working in stocking stitch. When piece measures 44-46-48 cm cast off the middle 18-18-20 (16-16-18) stitches for neck. Continue to cast off for neck every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1 (0), 2 stitches x 3 (2), 1 stitch x 4 (3) = 16-17-17 (11-12-11) stitches left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 50-52-54 cm. Back piece: Cast on and work as for front piece. Cast off for armholes as for front piece and continue working until piece measures 48-50-52 cm. Now cast off the middle 36-36-38 (26-26-28) stitches for neck. Continue to cast off for neck every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 1 (0), 1 stitch x 2 (2). Cast off when piece measures 50-52-54 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 48-50-52 (34-36-36) stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side for seam) with needle size 2.5 mm (4 mm) and off white and work 2 ridges. Continue with stocking stitch. When piece measures 6-6-6 cm increase mid under sleeve: 2 stitches x 13-14-15 (9-9-10) every 10th-9th-8th (12th-11th-10th) row = 74-78-82 (52-54-56) stitches. At the same time when piece measures 9-9-9 cm work M.1 for 7 cm, then continue with stocking stitch. When piece measures 29-29-29 cm work 7 cm more of M.1, then finish sleeve in stocking stitch. When piece measures 48-47-46 cm cast off for sleeve cap in each side every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1-1-1 (1-1-1), 2 stitches x 3-3-3 (2-2-2), 1 stitch x 8-9-11 (2-3-4), 2 stitches x 3-3-3 (2-2-2), 3 stitches x 1-1-1 (1-1-1). Cast off, piece measures approx. 58-58-58 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeves to body. Sew sleeve and side seams in one go inside the 1 edge stitch. Knit up approx. 100-110 (70-80) stitches around neck with double pointed needles size 2.5 mm (4 mm) and off white and work 2 ridges, cast off. Crochet edge: Work with double yarn from the right side, with hook size 3 mm (4 mm) as follows: Row 1: Double crochets around bottom of body, sleeves and around neck. Row 2: Lobster stitch = double crochets in opposite direction, i.e. from left to right without turning piece - work from right side with 1 double crochet in each double crochet from previous row. Take care! Do not crochet too tightly. |
