Hei Christina.

08.12.2023 - 09:14DROPS Design answered:
Olet oikeassa, ohjeessa oli väärä numero. Takakappaleen alareunuksen alussa neulotaan 2 silmukkaa ainaoikeaa.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in the pattern from the right side. The number of stitches in A.1 varies from 7 to 6. Stitch counts in the text are taken on rows in the pattern with 7 stitches. RAGLAN: Increase before/after A.1 in each transition between the body and sleeves. Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over which is purled twisted on the next row to avoid a hole. The new stitches are then worked in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the stitch with the marker as follows: Work until there are 2 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 1 (marker-stitch), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. BUTTONHOLES: Work buttonholes on the right band (when the garment is worn). Work from the right side when there are 4 stitches left on the row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together and knit 2. On the next row (wrong side), knit the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked when the band measures 1 cm after the neck. Then work the other 5-6-6-6-6-7 buttonholes with approx. 9-8-8½-9-9-8 cm between each one. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The neck and yoke are worked back and forth with circular needle, from mid front and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued back and forth with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles, top down. DOUBLE NECK: Cast on 81-87-89-95-95-103 stitches with 1 strand DROPS Merino Extra Fine and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk using short circular needles sizes 5 and 3.5 mm held together. Remove the needle size 5 mm keeping stitches on needle size 3.5 mm (this gives an elastic cast-on edge). Work rib as follows: 1 GARTER STITCH – read description above, * knit 1, purl 1 *, work from *-* until there are 2 stitches left, knit 1 and 1 garter stitch. Continue this rib back and forth for 5 cm. Cast on 5 stitches at the end of the next 2 rows for the bands = 91-97-99-105-105-113 stitches. Continue the rib, but now with the 6 outermost band stitches worked in garter stitch (band). Work until the rib measures 10 cm and the next row is from the right side. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 5 mm. Work pattern and increase as follows: Work 6 band stitches in garter stitch, 9-11-11-13-13-15 stitches in stocking stitch and increase 2-2-2-1-2-1 stitches evenly over these stitches (front piece), work A.1, 7 stitches in stocking stitch and increase 3 stitches evenly over these stitches (sleeve), A.1, 19-21-23-25-25-29 stitches in stocking stitch and increase 3-6-4-4-6-4 stitches evenly over these stitches (back piece), A.1, 7 stitches in stocking stitch and increase 3 stitches evenly over these stitches (sleeve), A.1, 9-11-11-13-13-15 stitches in stocking stitch and increase 2-2-2-1-2-1 stitches evenly over these stitches, 6 band stitches in garter stitch (front piece). There are 104-113-113-117-121-125 stitches. Remember the BUTTONHOLES on the right band – read description above. Continue A.1 back and forth with 6 band stitches in garter stitch on each side and increase for RAGLAN on the next row from the right side – read description above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Increase like this every 2nd row a total of 16-17-19-21-22-23 times. There are 232-249-265-285-297-309 stitches. Continue to increase for raglan but every 2nd increase is only on the front and back pieces (4 increased stitches), i.e., increase on the front and back pieces every 2nd row and on the sleeves every 4th row. Increase like this 4-4-4-4-4-6 times on the front and back pieces (2-2-2-2-2-3 times on the sleeves). You have increased a total of 20-21-23-25-26-29 times on the front and back pieces and 18-19-21-23-24-26 times on the sleeves. There are 256-273-289-309-321-345 stitches (with 7 stitches in A.1). Continue with stocking stitch and A.1 without further increases until the piece measures 21-23-25-27-28-31 cm, measured mid-front after the neck. Divide for the body and sleeves as follows: Work 6 band stitches in garter stitch, 35-38-40-43-45-49 stitches in stocking stitch (front piece), place the next 52-54-58-62-64-68 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 7-7-9-9-11-11 stitches (in side under sleeve), 70-77-81-87-91-99 stitches in stocking stitch (back piece), place the next 52-54-58-62-64-68 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 7-7-9-9-11-11 stitches (in side under sleeve), 35-38-40-43-45-49 stitches in stocking stitch and 6 band stitches in garter stitch (front piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. The piece is measured from here! BODY: = 166-179-191-203-215-231 stitches. Insert 1 marker in the middle stitch of the 7-7-9-9-11-11 stitches cast on under each sleeve. Allow the markers to follow your work onwards – they are used when working the split in the sides. Work stocking stitch, A.1 over the 7 middle stitches cast on under each sleeve and with 6 band stitches in garter stitch on each side. When the piece measures 19-19-19-19-20-19 cm from the division, divide at both markers and finish each piece separately. The marker-stitches belong to the front pieces. LEFT FRONT PIECE: = 45-48-51-54-57-61 stitches. Knit 1 row from the right side and increase 16-19-18-21-22-24 stitches evenly spaced (do not increase over the band) = 61-67-69-75-79-85 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work first row as follows from the wrong side (from the side): 2 garter stitches, * purl 1, knit 1 *, work from *-* until there are 7 stitches left, purl 1 and 6 band stitches in garter stitch. Continue this rib back and forth for 10 cm. Loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jacket measures approx. 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm from the shoulder. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: = 45-48-51-54-57-61 stitches. Knit 1 row from the right side and increase 16-19-18-21-22-24 stitches evenly spaced (do not increase over the band) = 61-67-69-75-79-85 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work first row as follows from the wrong side (from mid front): 6 band stitches in garter stitch, * purl 1, knit 1 *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1 and 2 garter stitches. Continue this rib back and forth for 10 cm. Loosely cast off in the same way as on the left front piece. BACK PIECE: = 76-83-89-95-101-109 stitches. Knit 1 row from the right side and increase 33-38-38-42-44-48 stitches evenly spaced = 109-121-127-137-145-157 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work first row as follows from the wrong side: 2 garter stitches, * purl 1, knit 1 *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left, purl 1 and 2 garter stitches. Continue this rib back and forth for 10 cm. Loosely cast off in the same way as on the front pieces. SLEEVES: Place the 52-54-58-62-64-68 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 7-7-9-9-11-11 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 59-61-67-71-75-79 stitches. Insert a marker in the middle of the 7-7-9-9-11-11 stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker and work stocking stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 4-4-4-1-4-1 cm, decrease 2 stitches mid under sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 3-2½-2-2-1½-1½ cm a total of 9-10-12-13-14-15 times = 41-41-43-45-47-49 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 33-31-30-28-28-25 cm from the division. Knit 1 round and increase 19-19-19-19-19-21 stitches evenly spaced = 60-60-62-64-66-70 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and work rib (knit 1, purl 1) for 10 cm. Loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The sleeve measures approx. 43-41-40-38-38-35 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Fold the neck double to the inside and sew down. To avoid the neck being tight and rolling outwards, it is important that the seam is elastic. Sew the opening at the top of each band with small stitches. Sew the buttons onto the left band. |
