Bon tricot!

Hello, could you please tell what yarn could be used in replacement for the discontinued Vivaldi? Thank you.

Dear Grazina, you can use DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk instead - or even 2 strands Kid-silk. Try our our yarn converter. Happy knitting!

Knitting tension: 16 sts x 20 rows with 1 thread of each yarn quality in stocking stitch on needle size 5.5mm = 10 x 10 cm Decreasing tips (applies to neck): Decrease within 1 edge st from the right side. Dec as follows after 1 edge st: slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso. Dec as follows before 1 edge st: K2 tog. Crochet info: Replace 1st tr on each row with 3 ch. Replace 1st dtr on each row with 4 ch. Back piece: Cast on 62-70-76-84-92-100 sts (inclusive of 1edge st each side, edge sts are knitted in garter st throughout) on needle size 5.5 with 1 thread of each yarn quality (= double thread). Knit 2 rows garter st and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st each side on every 7-7-7-8-8-8 cm a total of 3 times = 68-76-82-90-98-106 sts. When piece measures 25-26-27-28-29-30 cm dec for armhole each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-3-5-6 times and 1 st 3-4-4-5-4-4 times = 56-58-60-62-64-68 sts. When piece measures 41-43-45-47-49-51 cm (adjust so that next row is knitted from the wrong side), knit 1 row over the middle 18-18-20-20-20-20 sts (purl the other sts). On next row cast off the middle 16-16-18-18-18-18 sts for neck. Dec 1 st at neckline on next row – see Decreasing tips = 19-20-20-21-22-24 sts left on each shoulder. Right Front: Cast on 34-38-41-45-49-53 sts (inclusive of 1edge st at side) on needle size 5.5 with 1 thread of each yarn quality (= double thread). Knit 2 rows garter st. Read all of the following section before continuing: Continue in stocking st with 1 st towards mid front in garter st until finished measurements. Increases at side: When piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st at side as described for back piece. Left front piece: As right front piece, but mirrored. Sleeve: Cast 38-40-42-42-44-46 sts (inclusive of 1seam st each side) on needle size 5.5 with 1 thread of each yarn quality (= double thread).
