Now dec 1 st for raglan on both sides of each marker – see Decreasing tips – as follows: Sleeves: on every and every other row alternately a total of 32 (32) times, and then on every other row 9 (7) times; Back and front pieces: on every and every other row alternately 28 (32) times and then on every other row 9 (7) times. Sometrhing is wrong here, can not be every other and every row at the same time. Which is correct??
28.09.2018 - 08:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Margareta, you will decrease differently on body and on sleeves, ie you will dec either 8 sts (body and sleeves) or only 4 sts. Dec alternately every row and every other row like this: *work 1 row with dec, 1 row without dec, 1 row with dec* and repeat from *-*. Happy knitting!

DROPS Jacket with raglan sleeve in Bomull-lin
DROPS 45-15 |

Knitting Tension: 20 sts x 26 rows on needle size 4 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm. Garter sts, back and forth: Knit all rows. Garter sts, on circular needle: Knit 1 round, purl 1 round. Moss sts: 1st row: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. 2nd row: P over K, K over P. Repeat 2nd row. Pattern: See diagram. 1 diagram = 1 repeat. Decreasing tip, apply to raglan: Dec as follows before the marking thread: From RS: K2 tog, from WS: P1, P1 tog with next st into back of st. Dec as follows after the marking thread: From RS: slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso. From WS: P 2 tog. Back and front piece: The jacket is knitted back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 202 (214) sts (incl 1 edge each side) on needle size 4 mm and knit 4 rows garter sts. Insert a marking thread each side = 51 (54) sts on front piece, 100 (106) sts on back piece, 51 (54) sts on front piece. Continue in pattern as follows: 1 edge st, M.1, 154 (166) sts in stocking sts, M.1, 1 edge st. After 20 (20) rows in pattern inc 1 st on both sides of MT and repeat the inc after a further 20 (20) rows = 53 (56) sts front piece, 104 (110) sts back piece, 53 (56) sts front piece. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 22 (22) cm knit next row as follows: 51 (54) sts = front piece cast off 4 sts for armhole, 100 (106) sts = back piece, cast off 4 sts for armhole, 51 (54) sts = front piece. Put the piece aside and knit the sleeves. Sleeves: Knitted round on double pointed needles.. Cast on 44 (46) sts on needle size 4 mm, knit 4 rows garter sts and continue in M.2. At the same time when sleeve measures 5 (5) cm inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 28 (29) times on every 3rd round = 100 (104) sts. When sleeve measures 51 (54) cm cast off 4 sts mid under arm. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve. Yoke: Put sleeves in on the same circular needle as back and front pieces where you cast off for armholes = 394 (414) sts, and finish the jumper back and forth on needle. Insert a marking thread in all transitions between sleeves and body pieces = 4 marking threads. Now dec 1 st for raglan on both sides of each marking thread – see Decreasing tips – as follows: Sleeves: on every and every other row alternately a total of 32 (32) times, and then on every other row 9 (7) times; Back and front pieces: on every and every other row alternately 28 (32) times and then on every other row 9 (7) times. At the same time, when piece measures 40 (40) cm cast off for neck on front pieces (each side) on every other row: 4 (5) sts 1 (1) time, 3 sts 1 (1) time, 2 sts 2 (2) times and 1 st 3 (3) times. After all dec for raglan and neck are complete cast off remaining sts, piece measures approx 47 (48) cm. Assembly: Pick up approx 67 sts on needle size 4 mm round the neck and knit 2 rows garter sts, cast off. Pick up approx 84 to 88 sts along left front edge on needle size 2.5 mm and knit 3 cm moss sts back and forth, cast off. Repeat along right front edge, but after 1 cm make 6 buttonholes evenly distributed on row. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Crochet borders: Crochet round neckline on crochet hook size 2.5 mm as follows: 1 dc, *3 ch, 1 tr in first ch, skip 2 sts, 1 dc*, repeat from *-*. Crochet round bottom edge (= 199 (211) dc - divisible by 6 +1), and round sleeve edges (= 42 (42) dc) as follows: 1st row: 1 dc in each st 2nd row: *1 dc, 3 ch, skip 2 sts, 4 tr in next st, 3 ch, skip 2 sts*, repeat from *-*. 3rd row: *1 dc in dc, 1 dc in ch-loop, 1 dc in first tr, (3 ch, 1 dc in first ch, 1 dc) in each of the next 3 tr, 1 dc in ch-loop*, repeat from *-*. Sew on buttons and sew openings under arms. |
