Er knaphullet kun over to p.? Venlig hilsen Pia Majbrit Hjort

Hei Pia Majbrit.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge in height = knit 2 rows. INCREASE/DECREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase/decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 18 stitches), and divide by the number of increases/decreases to be made (e.g. 4) = 4.5. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after alternately each 4th and 5th stitch. On the next row work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. When decreasing, knit together alternately each 3rd and 4th stitch and each 4th and 5th stitch. INCREASE TIP: Increase by making a yarn over; on next row knit the yarn over twisted to avoid holes. BUTTONHOLES: Work buttonholes on the right band (when the garment is worn). Work from the right side when there are 3 stitches left on the row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit 2 together and knit 1. On the next row (wrong side), knit the yarn over to leave a hole. The first buttonhole is worked when the rib on the neck measures approx. 1½-2 cm. Then work the other 5-5-5-5-6-6 buttonholes with approx. 6-6½-7-8-7½-7½ cm between each one. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch on each side of 2 stocking stitches (marker sits between these 2 stitches) in each transition between body and sleeves (= 8 stitches increased on the row) by making 1 yarn over. On the next row purl the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP (for sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. CASTING-OFF TIP: To avoid the cast-off edge being tight you can cast off with a larger size needle. If the edge is still tight, make 1 yarn over after approx. each 4th stitch at the same time as casting off; the yarn overs are cast off as normal stitches. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JACKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The neck and yoke are worked back and forth with circular needle and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body continued back and forth with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle, top down. NECK/YOKE: Cast on 100-104-104-108-112-116 stitches (including 5 band stitches on each side) with circular needle size 2.5 mm and DROPS Baby Merino. Purl 1 row from the wrong side, then work as follows from the right side: 5 band stitches in GARTER STITCH – read explanation above, work rib (knit 2, purl 2) until there are 7 stitches left, knit 2 and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. Work this rib for 3 cm. Remember the BUTTONHOLES on the right band – read description above. Insert 1 marker; the yoke is measured from here. On the next row from the right side increase 1 stitch at the beginning of each purled section (= 22-23-23-24-25-26 stitches increased) – read INCREASE TIP= 122-127-127-132-137-142 stitches. Continue the new rib (knit 2, purl 3) with 5 band stitches in garter stitch on each side, until the piece measures 2½-2½-3-3-3-3½ cm from the marker. Increase 1 stitch at the end of each purled section (= 22-23-23-24-25-26 stitches increased) = 144-150-150-156-162-168 stitches. Continue the new rib (knit 2, purl 4) with 5 band stitches in garter stitch on each side until the piece measures 5-5-6-6-6-7 cm from the marker. Knit 1 row from the right side where you adjust the number as described below – read INCREASE/DECREASE TIP. This is done so the 2 knitted stitches in each raglan-line continue over 2 knitted stitches from the rib. Adjust as follows: Work 5 band stitches in garter stitch, increase 4-0-1-1-2-4/decrease 0-1-0-0-0-0 stitches evenly over the next 18-24-24-24-24-24 stitches, knit 26, increase 0-6-10-4-0-0/decrease 2-0-0-0-0-2 stitches evenly over the next 46-40-40-46-52-58 stitches, knit 26, increase 4-0-1-1-2-4/decrease 0-1-0-0-0-0 stitches evenly over the next 18-24-24-24-24-24 stitches and 5 band stitches in garter stitch. There are 150-154-162-162-166-174 stitches on the needle. Change to circular needle size 3 mm. Insert 4 markers without working the stitches: Count 28-29-31-31-32-34 stitches, insert marker 1 (= right front piece). Count 24 stitches, insert marker 2 (= sleeve). Count 46-48-52-52-54-58 stitches, insert marker 3 (= back piece) Count 24 stitches, insert marker 4 (= sleeve). There are 28-29-31-31-32-34 stitches left after marker 4 (= left front piece). Continue with stocking stitch and 5 band stitches in garter stitch on each side, AT THE SAME TIME on the first row from the right side start to increase to RAGLAN – read explanation above. Increase every 2nd row (every row from the right side) a total of 15-16-17-18-19-20 times = 270-282-298-306-318-334 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and garter stitch until the piece measures 15-15-16-17-18-19 cm from the marker on the neck. Now divide for the body and sleeves: Work 43-45-48-49-51-54 stitches (= front piece), place the next 54-56-58-60-62-64 stitches on a thread (= sleeve), cast on 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve, work 76-80-86-88-92-98 stitches (= back piece), place the next 54-56-58-60-62-64 stitches on a thread (= sleeve), cast on 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve, work the last 43-45-48-49-51-54 stitches (= front piece) BODY: There are now 174-182-194-202-210-222 stitches on the needle. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! Continue with stocking stitch and garter stitch for 16-20-23-25-26-27 cm (or to desired length; there is approx. 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm left to finished length). Work 1 row and increase 18-18-18-22-22-22 stitches evenly spaced = 192-200-212-224-232-244 stitches. Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm and work as follows from the right side: 5 stitches in garter stitch, rib (knit 2, purl 2) until there are 7 stitches left, knit 2 and 5 stitches in garter stitch. Work this rib for 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm. Loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – read CASTING-OFF TIP. Cut and fasten the strand. The jacket measures approx. 36-40-44-48-50-52 cm from the shoulder down. SLEEVES: Place the 54-56-58-60-62-64 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles/short circular needle size 3 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 60-62-64-68-70-72 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the 6-6-6-8-8-8 stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker thread and work stocking stitch in the round for 3 cm. Now decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2-2½-3½-3-4-4 cm a total of 6-7-6-8-7-8 times = 48-48-52-52-56-56 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 15-21-24-27-31-35 cm from the division. There is approx. 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm left to finished length; try the jacket on and work to desired length. Knit 1 round where you decrease 4 stitches evenly spaced = 44-44-48-48-52-52 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – remember CASTING-OFF TIP! The sleeve measures approx. 18-24-27-31-35-39 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the buttons onto the left band. |
