Bon tricot!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). INCREASE TIP – BODY: Increase on each side of 6-6-6-8-8-8-8 stitches mid-under the sleeve (marker-thread sits in the middle of these 6-6-6-8-8-8-8 8 stitches). Increase by making 1 yarn over which is knitted twisted on the next round. INCREASE TIP - SLEEVES: Increase on each side of 2 stitches mid-under the sleeve (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches). Increase by making 1 yarn over which is knitted twisted on the next round. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The body is worked in the round, bottom up as far as the armholes, then divided. The front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. The sleeves are worked bottom up, in the round as far as the armholes then finished back and forth. The pieces are sewn together. Stitches are knitted up around the neckline and the neck is worked in the round to finish. Pattern is worked on the front piece. The back piece is worked in stocking stitch. If there is a «0» in your chosen size, skip the information and go straight to the next instruction. BODY: Cast on 206-226-242-264-284-308-336 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Daisy or DROPS Lima. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 cm. Insert 1 marker-thread at the beginning of the round and 1 marker-thread after 110-120-128-142-152-164-178 stitches = sides; (96-106-114-122-132-144-161 stitches on the back piece). Change to circular needle size 4 mm and work as follows: Knit 12-17-21-20-25-31-38, work A.1 0-0-0-1-1-1 time, A.2 2 times, A.3 1 time, A.4 0-0-0-1-1-1-1 time, knit 108-123-135-142-157-175-196. Continue this pattern, decreasing and increasing as described below. Remember to maintain the knitting tension. DECREASE IN SIDES: When the piece measures 6 cm, decrease 1 stitch on each side of both marker-threads – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2 cm a total of 4 times = 190-210-226-248-268-292-320 stitches. INCREASE IN SIDES: When the piece measures 15 cm, increase 1 stitch on each side of both marker-threads – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 3 cm a total of 4 times = 206-226-242-264-284-308-336 stitches. Continue the pattern until the piece measures 29-30-31-32-33-34-35 cm, with the next round an odd row in the diagrams so you continue cabling from the right side when working back and forth. Now divide for the armholes. DIVIDE FOR ARMHOLES: Cast off the first 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 stitches for the armhole, work 104-114-122-134-144-156-170 stitches, cast off the next 6-6-6-8-8-8-8 stitches for the armhole, work 90-100-108-114-124-136-150 stitches, cast off the last 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 stitches for the armhole. Cut the strand. The front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. BACK PIECE: = 90-100-108-114-124-136-150 stitches. Work stocking stitch back and forth. AT THE SAME TIME cast off for the armholes every 2nd row as follows. 2 stitches 3-5-6-6-8-10-12 times on each side, 1 stitch 3-4-6-4-5-7-8 times on each side = 72-72-72-82-82-82-86 stitches. When the piece measures 47-49-51-53-55-57-59 cm, cast off the middle 30-30-30-32-32-32-32 stitches for the neckline and finish each shoulder separately = 21-21-21-25-25-25-27 stitches. SHOULDERS: Cast off 1 stitch for the neckline on the next row = 20-20-20-24-24-24-26 shoulder-stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60-62 cm. FRONT PIECE: = 104-114-122-134-144-156-170 stitches. Continue the pattern back and forth. AT THE SAME TIME, cast off for the armholes every 2nd row as follows: 2 stitches 3-5-6-6-8-10-12 times on each side, 1 stitch 3-4-6-4-5-7-8 times on each side = 86-86-86-102-102-102-106 stitches. When the piece measures 43-45-47-49-50-52-54 cm, put the middle 22 stitches on a thread for the neckline and finish each shoulder separately = 32-32-32-40-40-40-42 stitches. SHOULDERS: Cast off for the armholes every 2nd row as follows: 2 stitches 1 time and 1 stitch 2 times = 28-28-28-36-36-36-38 stitches. When the piece measures 49-51-53-55-57-59-61 cm decrease 8-8-8-12-12-12-12 stitches evenly across the cables = 20-20-20-24-24-24-26 stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60-62 cm. SLEEVES: Cast on 64-66-68-70-72-74-76 stitches with double pointed needles size 3 mm. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 3-3-3-3-4-4-4 cm. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Knit 1 round and decrease 6 stitches evenly spaced = 58-60-62-64-66-68-70 stitches. Insert 1 marker-thread mid-under the sleeve; this is used when increasing. Allow the marker-thread to follow your work onwards. Work pattern as follows starting mid-under the sleeve: Knit 24-25-26-27-28-29-30, work A.3, knit 24-25-26-27-28-29-30. Continue this pattern. When the sleeve measures 8 cm, increase under the sleeve as follows – read INCREASE TIP: Increase 2 stitches every 3½-3-2½-2-1½-1½-1½ cm a total of 10-12-14-17-19-21-22 times = 78-84-90-98-104-110-114 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch until the sleeve measures 44-45-46-44-44-44-42 cm. Now work the sleeve cap as follows. SLEEVE CAP: On the next round, cast off 6-6-6-8-8-8-8 stitches mid-under the sleeve (to avoid having to cut the strand, begin the round 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 stitches before the marker-thread), cast off the stitches, then work to end of round. Continue back and forth, casting off on each side as follows every 2nd row: 3 stitches 0-0-0-1-1-1-1 time on each side, 2 stitches 4-4-4-4-4-5-5 times on each side, 1 stitch 4-5-6-7-8-8-10 times on each side, then 2 stitches on each side until the sleeve measures 54-56-58-56-57-58-58 cm, cast off 3 stitches 1 time on each side. Cast off the remaining stitches. The sleeve measures approx. 55-57-59-57-58-59-59 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder-seams. Sew in the sleeves. NECK: Use circular needle size 3 mm. Starting from the right side on one shoulder-line, knit up 98-104 stitches around the neckline (including stitches from the stitch holder mid-front). The stitch count should be divisible by 2. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 cm. Cast off with rib. |
