Bon tricot!

Gauge: 12 sts x 17 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm Increasing tips: All increases are made on right side rows. Inc inside of 2 edge sts at each side by making a yo, on the next row twist and P the yo so that there will not be a hole. SHAWL: Cast on 18 sts and knit stockinette st, increasing 1 st at each edge every other row - see Increasing tips. Inc until there are 138 sts. Then K 1 row (right side row), increasing 1 st every other st = 207 sts, bind off loosely. Bind off with double strands of yarn if you wish a stronger edge. Frill edge: Pick up approx. 250-260 sts along both sides (do not pick up along bound-off edge). Knit frill edge in stockinette st as follows: knit 3 rows stockinette, then 1 row stockinette increasing 1 st between each st (inc 1 st by picking up a st between 2 sts). Then knit 3 rows stockinette without inc, then bind off all sts. WRISTWARMERS: Measurements: Length: approx. 19 (19) cm [7.5"] Circumference: approx. 18 (21) cm [7" (8.25")] Materials: DROPS ALPACA from Garnstudio 50 (50) gr nr 0501, light gray 50 (50) gr nr 0100, natural 50 (50) gr nr 0506, charcoal gray DROPS 3 mm [US 2] double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge. Picot edge: Row 1: knit all sts with natural. Row 2: knit with natural as follows: * K 2 tog, yo *, repeat * - * across row (= folding edge). Row 3: knit all sts with natural. Pattern: The pattern is knit entirely in stockinette st and is seen from the right side. Wristwarmer: Loosely cast on 44 (50) sts on double-pointed needles with charcoal grey; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 9 rows stockinette st (for facing), and then knit Picot edge - see instructions above. After picot edge knit the next row as follows: Pattern 1 (Pattern 2), then Pattern 3 (Pattern 4) over the last 3 sts. When the pattern is complete knit Picot edge again. Then knit 9 rows stockinette st (for facing) with charcoal grey, and bind off all sts. Assembly: Fold facings at each end to wrong side and stitch in place. Knit a second wristwarmer. |
