Basket pattern - back and forth on needle.

In this DROPS video we show you how to work a basket pattern back and forth on needle. We have already worked a few rows so you easy can see the pattern. We start the video with: Row 1 (= WS): * P 1 in 2nd st (1st st is still on the needle), P 1st st, drop them off the needle *, repeat from *-* until 1 st remains on needle, P 1. Row 2 (= RS): * K 2nd st on needle twisted behind first st (i.e. in back loop of st) 1st st is still on the needle, K 1st st, drop them off the needle *, repeat from *-* until 1 st remains on needle, K 1. Repeat these 2 rows. REMEMBER - you will also need to read the pattern to be able to follow. To see a pattern with this technique, go to: DROPS 157-16

In this DROPS video we show how to work 2 I-cord edge stitches in each side, and at the same time increase in one of the sides. The same 2 edge stitches can be used in garments without increases. For example edges to a jacket. EDGE STITCHES: At the beginning of each row work 2 edge stitches as follows: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. At the end of each row work 2 edge stitches as follows: Work until there are 2 stitches left on the row, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the strand in front, knit 1. In this DROPS video we show how to work a rib with knit 1, purl 1 on circular needle. Working a rib gives an elastic piece that is great for cuffs and edges. Cast on a number of stitches that is divisible by 2, then put the circular needle “together” and start with knit 1 (the first stitch that was cast on), purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, etc. the entire round (you can also start with purl 1, knit 1, etc.). When the 2nd round starts knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl etc. It’s important that all knitted stitches comes above knitted stitches, and all purled stitches come above the purled stitches.
