Basket weave – knit

Nice dense texture, perfect use for baskets and interior items like pillows, place mats and Ipad covers, but also for windproof hats and mittens. Work back and forth on needle. Cast on an uneven number of stitches. Purl a row on WS. Row 1 (RS): K1, *K into back loop of 2nd st on left needle, then K into 1st st on left needle, then drop these 2 sts from left needle, repeat from * across until 2 sts rem on row, K2. Row 2 (WS): K1, *P into front loop of 2nd st on left needle, then P into 1st st on left needle, then drop these 2 sts from from left needle, repeat from * across until 2 sts rem on row, P1, K1. Repeat row 1-2.

Liebe Maria, Sie können die Maschen auf der Nadel zu der Anschlagskante zusammennähen - entweder ohne diese Maschen abzuketten (siehe Video oder nach Abketten (siehe Video). Viel Spaß beim fertigstellen!

Dear Mrs Zion, if you mean with "traditional knitting style" working with thread in the right hand, you will work the same way: K 2nd st into back of loop (insert needle into back loop of 2nd st on left needle leaving 1st st on needle), then K 1st st on needle - make sure to get an even tension, this may be the reason why you get gaps.
