Crochet on both sides of a chain band.

Great start for a bottom of a bag, cell phone cozy etc that want a smooth rounded bottom.

Start by working a ch band the length of the bottom. Work 1 sc in back loop of 2nd ch from hook, continue with 1 sc in back loop of each ch along the band, at the end of row turn and continue working sc in each ch loop on the other side of band. At the end of row, continue working in the round.

We have already crocheted a chain stitches row and start the video how to form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch. In this DROPS video we show how to get a straight line running down the beginning/the end of the rounds. Work in the round alternately from the right and wrong side, turning the piece after each round. We also work the piece in stripes and to get a neat transition when changing colours, we work the slip stitch at the end of the round in the new colour.
