How to bind off with knit above knit and purl above purl (knit 1 and purl 1) – UK / US knitting
The bind-off edge will be elastic.
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
We have already worked a few cms = about an inch of the rib, knit 1 and purl 1, and bind off a few stitches with rib.
To bind off with rib – or cast off with knit above knit and purl above purl – means that, before binding off, the stitch is worked in the same way as on the round/row below.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
The knitted stitches are knitted and the purled stitches are purled, at the same time as casting off by passing the next-to-last stitch worked over the last stitch worked (on the right needle).
