At the beginning of every round beginning with 1 chain stitch in diagram, work 4 chain stitches, chain stitches replace last double treble crochet on round. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 4th chain stitch at beginning of round.
----------------------------------------------------------

PONCHO:
First work granny squares. Sew squares into one piece, then work bottom part in the round in bottom edge of squares, top down. Then continue in the round in top part of squares and up to neck.

GRANNY SQUARE:
Work 6 chain stitches on hook size 5.5 mm with light pearl grey and work pattern according to diagram A.1 - READ COLOURS AND COLOUR CHANGE. Work 10-12-16 squares in total. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! A square measures approx. 8 x 8 cm. Then sew squares together edge to edge, see diagram A.2 for your size. These make up the middle part of poncho.

BOTTOM PART:
Now work in the round from bottom edge of granny squares as follows - READ STRIPES-1. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE!
ROUND 1: Begin in the side - see cross in diagram A.2. Work A.3a over this square and over corner until next square, repeat A.3a 1-2-3 more times, then work A.3b, A.3c over corner space (= mid front), work A.3a 5-6-8 times in total, A.3b, A.3c over corner space (= mid back) and work A.3a 3-3-4 times in total = 38-44-56 double treble crochet groups.
Now work according to diagram A.4 as follows:
Work A.4a, then repeat A.4b until corner space mid front, work A.4c around corner space, then repeat A.4b until corner space mid back, work A.4c around corner space, repeat A.4b until 1 double treble crochet group remains on round, finish with A.4d. When diagram A.4 has been worked vertically, 2 double treble crochet groups have been increased mid front and 2 double treble crochet groups mid back (= 4 double treble crochet groups on round). Repeat A.4 vertically until piece measures approx. 48-50-52 cm measured in crochet direction. Fasten off.

TOP PART/NECK:
Now work in the round from top edge of granny square and upwards for neck like this - READ STRIPES-2. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE!
ROUND 1: Begin in the side - see triangle in diagram A.2. Work A.3a over this square and over corner until next square, repeat A.3a 1-1-2 more times, then work 3 double treble crochets around next chain stitch, A.5b over corner space (= mid back), work 1 chain stitch, work A.3a 3-4-6 times in total, work 3 double treble crochets around next chain stitch, A.5b over corner space (= mid front), 1 chain stitch and work A.3a 1-2-3 times in total = 26-32-44 double treble crochet groups.
ROUND 2 (= 2nd round in A.5): Work A.5a until 2 double treble crochet groups mid back, work A.5b (= 1 double treble crochet group decreased mid back), repeat A.5a until the 2 double treble crochet groups mid front, work A.5b (= 1 double treble crochet group decreased mid front), repeat A.5a the rest of round. 2 double treble crochet groups have been decreased on round. Continue to work as follows:

SIZE S-M:
= 24 double treble crochet groups.
Then repeat A.5a until piece measures approx. 24 cm (A.5a is worked 1 time in width above A.5b). Fasten off.

SIZE L/XL:
= 30 double treble crochet groups.
ROUNDS 3-5: Repeat 2nd round = 24 double treble crochet groups after last round.
Then repeat A.5a (A.5a is worked 1 time in width above A.5b) until piece measures approx. 24 cm. Fasten off.

SIZE XXL/XXXL
= 42 double treble crochet groups.
ROUNDS 3-5: Repeat 2nd round = 36 double treble crochet groups after last round.
ROUND 6: Repeat 2nd round in A.5a (A.5a is worked 1 time in width above A.5b) while decreasing 8 double treble groups, decrease by working A.6 - i.e. work as follows: * A.5a 2 times in total, A.6, A.5a 3 times in total, A.6 *, repeat from *-* in the round = 28 double treble crochet groups.

Hej igen.
