Tolle Tasche!! DANKE :)

The A.2b diagram is confusing. How do I begin the round? Do I work slip stitches to the first chain-1 space and then work chain 3 and two 2 dc stitches?
06.08.2017 - 18:32DROPS Design answered:
Dear Selma, for A.2B patterm, you only do one slip sitch at the end of the row, closing the circle, then three chain stitch to start the next row. I hope this helps, Happy Crocheting!

After working 2 rounds without increases, I'm not getting 24cm in diameter. Should I work more rounds?
05.08.2017 - 08:35DROPS Design answered:
Hi Selma, Have you checked your crochet tension? If you are working more tightly than the tension given in the pattern, you need to increase your hook size. Then the measurements will be right. Happy crocheting!

Dann A.2e 1x in der Höhe häkeln. Viel Spaß beim häkeln!

Crochet bag/tote bag with lace pattern in DROPS Paris.
DROPS 178-71 |

PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. A.3 shows how rounds begin and end. CROCHET INFO: At beginning of every round with double crochets replace first double crochet with 3 chain stitches. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch. ---------------------------------------------------------- BAG: Worked in the round from bottom up. Crochet 4 ch on hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 with shocking pink and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. Work A.1 (= 7 times in total on round) - REMEMBER CROCHET GAUGE! When A.1 has been worked vertically, there are 112 double crochets on last round. Work next round as follows: Work 1 double crochet in every double crochet but work 2 double crochets in every 14th double crochet = 120 double crochets. Work 2 more rounds with 1 double crochet in every double crochet. Piece measures approx. 24 cm / 9½" in diameter. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Switch to dark beige and work 1 round with 1 double crochet in every double crochet. Then work A.2 (= 15 repetitions in width) - A.3 shows how rounds begin and end, as follows: Work A.2a 1 time vertically. Then work A.2b. Repeat A.2b until piece measures approx. 17 cm / 6¾". Then work A.2c and A.2d. Repeat A.2d until piece measures approx. 26 cm / 10¼". Work A.2e. Fasten off. TWINED STRING: Cut 4 strands dark beige of 4 meters + 4 strands shocking pink of 4 meters. Twine the strands tog until they resist, fold the string double so that it twines again. Make a knot at each end. Make another string. Begin in one side and insert string in bag by threading string up and down around the upper row with chain spaces - see A.4. Distribute the string so that both ends are the same length. Insert the other string the same way but in chain spaces below, beg in opposite side of bag so that there are two string ends in each side. Tie the two ends in each side of bag into one knot approx. 15 cm / 6" from end so that length of string is 70 cm / 27½" or desired length. |
