SPIRAL PATTERN:
K 5, P 2 - pattern is over 7 sts and is worked 10-11 times in the round = 70-77 sts, subtract 1 st when casting on, then the pattern will automatically displace when working in the round on circular needle.
--------------------------------------------------------
HAT:
First worked in the round on circular needle and then on double pointed needles. Cast on 69-76 sts on circular needle size 5,5 mm / US 9 - SEE SPIRAL PATTERN with 1 strand Nepal and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Work spiral pattern K 5, P 2 until piece measures approx. 15-17 cm / 6"-6 3/4". Now dec as follows: P the last P st tog with the first K st in every spiral pattern on round (dec 10-11 sts). Continue with spiral pattern K 4, P 2 until piece measures 18-20 cm / 7"-8" and repeat dec. Switch to double pointed needles and continue spiral pattern K 3, P 2 until piece measures 21-23 cm / 8 1/4"-9". K tog all sts 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts. Tighten tog and fasten.
Make a pompom in Kid-Silk and fasten at the top of hat.
