POT HOLDER - 1 LARGE SQUARE:
Ch 5 with peach and hook size 4 mm / G/6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 3, 3 dc in ring, ch 1, * 3 dc in ring, ch 1 *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round, turn piece. REMEMBER GAUGE!
ROUND 2: Change to yellow. ch 3, 3 dc in first ch-loop, ch 1, 3 dc in the the same ch-loop, * 3 dc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch-loop *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round, turn piece.
ROUND 3: Change to light yellow. ch 3, 3 dc in first ch-loop, * 3 dc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch-loop, 3 dc in next ch-loop *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 3 dc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch-loop, and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round, turn piece.
ROUND 4: Change to off-white. Crochet like round 3, with 1 more dc-group between corners. Turn piece.
ROUND 5: Change to light mint. Crochet like round 4, with 1 more dc-group between corners. Turn piece.
ROUND 6: Change to light turquoise. Crochet like round 5, with 1 more dc-group between corners.
ROUND 7: ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 9 dc, * 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the next 18 dc, *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the next 9 dc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 8: Crochet like round 7, with 1 more sc between corners.
ROUND 9: Change to light yellow. ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 11 sc, * 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the next 22 sc, *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 15, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the last 11 sc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 10: Change to yellow. ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 12 sc, * 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the next 24 sc, *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, 15 sc in next ch-loop, 1 sc in each of the last 12 sc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch.

POT HOLDER – LARGE FLOWER:
Ch 6 with light mint and hook size 4 mm / G/6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 3, 16 dc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. REMEMBER CROCHET GAUGE!
ROUND 2: ch 3 (= 1 dc), 1 dc in the first of the ch 3, but wait with last pull-through (= 2 sts on hook), 1 dc in the same ch, but wait with last pull-through (= 3 sts on hook), make 1 YO and pull thread through all 3 sts = 1 st on hook (= 1 dc-group), * ch 1, 1 dc in next dc, but wait with last pull-through (= 2 sts on hook), 1 dc in the same dc, but wait with last pull-through (= 3 sts on hook), make 1 YO and pull thread through all 3 sts = 1 st on hook (= 1 dc-group) *. Repeat from *-*, finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 16 dc-groups.
ROUND 3: Change to yellow. ch 3, * 3 dc in next ch, ch 1 *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
ROUND 4: ch 1, 1 sc in ch, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in the same ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, 7 ch, 1 sc in the same ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round. (There are now 7-ch-loops = corners).
ROUND 5: Change to light pink. ch 1, 1 sc in ch, * skip 3-ch-loop, in next 3-ch-loop crochet as follows: 4 dc, ch 1, 4 dc. Skip the next 3-ch-loop, 1 sc in next sc, skip next 3-ch-loop, in 7-ch-loop crochet as follows: 6 dc, 2 ch, 6 dc. Skip next 3-ch-loop, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
ROUND 6: Change to off-white. ch 3, * 1 dc in first sc from previous round, ch 3, 1 sc in ch in 8-tr-group, ch 3, 1 dc in next sc, 5 ch, in corner (2-ch-loop) crochet as follows: 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, 5 ch *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.

Now complete square 1, 2 and 3 as follows: 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in the last 4 dc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
Complete square 4 as follows: 1 sc in next ch-loop, ch 15, 1 sc in the same ch-loop, 1 sc in the last 4 dc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew the 4 squares tog 2 by 2, sc to sc, first vertically and then horizontally (15-ch-loop on square 4 = towards the top).
Now crochet a border round the pot holder with off-white as follows, beg in first sc after the 15-ch-loop on square 4:

I made this pretty pattern after seeing it on Pinterest. I'm in love with it even though I'm a beginner. It was hard but worked really well. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing it. I would love to send you a picture of my little square made from your pattern :)

Hoi Ria. Nee, er is geen achterkant. Ze worden vrij stevig gehaakt, maar als je het nodig vindt, kan je natuurlijk altijd een achterkant maken of erop zetten.

28.02.2012 kl. 22:48Der Fehler mit den 3 Stäbchen nach den 3 Luftmaschen wiederholt sich in der Anleitung leider noch öfter und ist auch in den anderen Sprachen (z.B. norwegisch) zu finden.

13.07.2011 - 21:40Hallo, ich glaube es hat sich hier ein Fehler eingeschlichen. Bei anderen Grannyanleitungen erstetzen die 3 Luftmaschen am Anfang der neuen Runde immer das erst Stäbchen, in dieser Anleitung (großes und. kleines Viereck) werden immer die 3 Luftmaschen und 3 Stäbchen angegeben. Es sind an der Stelle also 4 Beinchen und das fällt irgendwie auf, da alle anderen "Büschel" nur 3 Beinchen haben.
