Hallo! Ich bin eine Strick-Anfängerin, daher fallen mir Umrechnungen noch sehr schwer. Was muss ich beachten, wenn ich hier Wolle der Garngruppe A oder B nehmen möchte? Danke!

Does this pattern have positive ease? If yes, how many inches; 1+, 2+ ?

Dear Annie, feel free to choose your own "ease" either posititve and how much by checking the measurements in the chart, and comparing them to a similar garment you have and like the size. Read more here. Happy knitting!

Hej.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The pattern is worked in stocking stitch. KNITTING TIP: To avoid the knitting tension becoming tight when working pattern it is important that the strands at the back are not tight. Use a size larger needle when working pattern if this is a problem. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker as follows: Start 3 stitches before the marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round, top down. The yoke is divided for the body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle. DOUBLE NECK: Cast on 72-74-76-80-84-86 stitches with colour off white DROPS Melody, using both short 4.5 mm and 6 mm circular needles held together. Pull out the needle size 6 mm and continue with size 4.5 mm (this makes the cast-on edge elastic). Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 11 cm. Fold the neck double – work the next round of rib as before, working every other stitch together with every other stitch on the cast-on edge. Insert 1 marker; the yoke is measured from this marker! YOKE: Change to circular needle size 6 mm. Knit 1 round where you increase 24-26-26-26-28-28 stitches evenly spaced = 96-100-102-106-112-114 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and colour off white for 3-4-5-5-5-6 cm. Now increase 32-32-34-34-36-38 stitches evenly spaced = 128-132-136-140-148-152 stitches. When the yoke measures 4-5-6-6-7-8 cm, work A.1 in the round. Read KNITTING TIP and REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! AT THE SAME TIME on each round marked with an arrow in A.1, increase stitches evenly spaced as described below. Arrow-1: Increase 32-36-40-48-52-52 stitches evenly spaced = 160-168-176-188-200-204 stitches (there is now room for 40-42-44-47-50-51 repeats on the round). Arrow-2: Increase 32-36-40-46-46-54 stitches evenly spaced = 192-204-216-234-246-258 stitches (there is now room for 32-34-36-39-41-43 repeats on the round). Arrow-3: Increase 8-12-24-30-34-38 stitches evenly spaced = 200-216-240-264-280-296 stitches (there is now room for 25-27-30-33-35-37 repeats on the round). Continue the pattern. When the yoke measures 23-25-27-29-31-33 cm, divide for the body and sleeves as follows (A.1 continues on the body and sleeves): Place the first 38-42-48-52-54-54 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches (in side under sleeve), work pattern as before over the next 62-66-72-80-86-94 stitches, place the next 38-42-48-52-54-54 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches (in side under sleeve), work pattern as before over the last 62-66-72-80-86-94 stitches. Cut the strand. The body and sleeves are finished separately. The body is now measured from here! BODY: = 136-144-160-176-192-208 stitches. Insert 1 marker in each side – in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 cast-on stitches under each sleeve. Allow the markers to follow your work onwards. Start the round at one marker and continue the pattern. NOTE: Work the pattern as far as it will go up to the markers in each side – The pattern will not fit here. When A.1 has been completed, decrease 1 stitch on each side of both markers – read DECREASE TIP = 132-140-156-172-188-204 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and colour vanilla until the body measures 18 cm from the division. Knit 1 round where you increase 32-34-38-42-46-50 stitches evenly spaced = 164-174-194-214-234-254 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4.5 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1) for 8 cm. Cast off a little loosely. The jumper measures approx. 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 38-42-48-52-54-54 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles/short circular needle size 6 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 44-48-56-60-64-64 stitches. Insert a marker in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker and continue the pattern – it will not fit under the sleeve. When A.1 is finished, continue with stocking stitch and colour vanilla. AT THE SAME TIME when the sleeve measures 4-4-3-3-3-2 cm decrease 2 stitches mid-under the sleeve – remember DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 7-5½-3½-2½-2-2 cm a total of 4-5-8-10-11-10 times = 36-38-40-40-42-44 stitches. Work until the sleeve measures 32-31-30-28-27-25 cm. There is approx. 10 cm left to finished length. Knit 1 round where you increase 8-10-10-10-10-12 stitches evenly spaced = 44-48-50-50-52-56 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1) for 10 cm. Cast off a little loosely. The sleeve measures approx. 42-41-40-38-37-35 cm. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
