Tak for hjælpen. Hilsen Ellen

Is there an error in Pattern #3, second color group from the bottom (color group Apple Green Alpaca and Lime Green Vivaldi) ? It indicates 9 rows of color group, but all other groups are in multiples of 2. If this is an error, how should it and other colors in the Pattern be adjusted?
30.01.2017 - 23:27DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Lollich, it looks like you should only work 8 rows with these colours to get the total of 36 rows in M.3. Happy knitting!

Knitting tension: Remember needle size is only a guide. 14 stitches x 20 rows with 1 strand of each quality, needle size 6 and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Pattern: See diagrams M.1 to M.3. The whole pattern is worked in stocking stitch. Rib: * K4, P4 *, repeat from *-*. Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. Knitting tip: It is important that the knitting tension is right and especially important that the number of rows corresponds to the height as the body is worked from side to side. If your work is tight, the garment will be too small; this can be adjusted by working extra rows in each stripe. If your work is loose, you can work less rows in each stripe. -------------------------------------------------------- Back piece: The piece is worked in stocking stitch back and forth on circular needle - you start in one side, work to mid back and then continue out to other side. The whole jacket is assembled with wrong side out. Read knitting tip! Cast on very loosely 21-21-23-23-23 stitches with needle size 6 mm and 1 strand light greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi and work stocking stitch. After 2 rows cast on new stitches in the one side every 2nd row: 22-23-23-24-25 stitches 3 times = 87-90-92-95-98 m (= side) - NOTE: Make sure the new stitches are cast on very loosely, or the side seams will be tight when sewn together. After the last increase change to 1 strand off white Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi - the piece is now measured from here. Work 6-6-6-8-10 rows stocking stitch over all stitches, then increase for armhole in the same side as you increased earlier every 2nd row: 2 stitches 1-2-4-5-7 times and 26-25-23-22-19 stitches 1 times = 115-119-123-127-131 stitches. Work 1 row back, then work M.1 over all stitches (start at bottom of diagram). After M.1 (piece measures 14-15-17-19-22 cm) continue with the colour in the last stripe. When piece measures 22-24-26-29-32 cm insert 1 marker thread in each side = mid back. When piece measures 30-33-35-39-42 cm - make sure that you have worked the same number of rows of the colour in the last stripe on each side of mid back - work M.1 again, but start at top of diagram so that the pattern is mirror image. After M.1 change to1 strand off white Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Now cast off for armhole in the same side as you increased earlier, every 2nd row: 26-25-23-22-19 stitches 1 time and then 2 stitches 1-2-4-5-7 times = 87-90-92-95-98 stitches. Work 6-6-6-8-10 rows over all stitches, then change to 1 strand light greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Now cast off in the same side every 2nd row: 22-23-23-24-25 stitches 3 times and then cast off the remaining 21-21-23-23-23 stitches. Left front piece: The piece is worked in stocking stitch, back and forth on circular needle - start in the side and work towards mid front. Read Knitting tip! Cast on and work as for back piece. Increase for armhole as for back piece = 115-119-123-127-131 stitches and work M.1 as for back piece. When M.1 has been completed 1 time the piece measures 14-15-17-19-22 cm (measured from the last increase for side as for back piece), loosely cast off all stitches (= mid front). Right front piece: Worked as for left front piece, but reversed. Sleeve: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle. Loosely cast on 34-34-42-42-42 stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side) with circular needle size 5 mm and 1 strand light greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Purl 1 row (from the wrong side), then work rib with 1 edge stitch in each side. At the same time, after row 2 of rib change to 1 strand off white Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Continue the rib until piece measures 6 cm. Now knit 1 row from the wrong side, knit 1 row from the right side and knit 1 row from the wrong side, change to circular needle size 6 mm and continue with stocking stitch according to M.2. After M.2 work M.3, then work with 1 strand off white Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi to finished length. At the same time, when piece measures 10-10-10-12-13 cm increase 1 stitch in each side every 4.5-3.5-5-3.5-2.5 cm a total of 9-11-8-10-12 times = 52-56-58-62-66 stitches. When piece measures 48-48-48-46-44 cm decrease for sleeve cap in each side every 2nd row: 3 stitches 1 time, 2 stitches 2-2-2-3-3 times and 1 stitch 2-3-4-4-6 times, then 2 stitches in each side until piece measures 55-56-57-57-57 cm, finally 3 stitches 1 time in each side. Cast off the remaining stitches, piece measures approx. 56-57-58-58-58 cm. Assembly: NOTE: The whole jacket is assembled with wrong side out - this side is now the right side. Bottom of back piece: Knit up 78-86-94-102-110 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and 1 strand dark greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Knit 1 row from the wrong side and knit 1 row from the right side, then work rib with 1 edge stitch and K4 in each side (seen from the right side). When the rib measures 2 cm loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Bottom of front piece: Knit up 26-26-34-34-42 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and 1 strand dark greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Knit 1 row from the wrong side and knit 1 row from the wrong side, then work rib with 1 edge stitch in each side - make sure you have K4 inside the edge stitch towards mid front (seen from the right side). When rib measures 2 cm loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Sew shoulder seams. Band: Knit up from right side approx. 276 to 324 m (divisible by 8 + 4) up the right front piece, around neck and down the left front piece with circular needle size 5 mm and 1 strand light greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Knit 1 row from the wrong side and knit 1 row from the right side. Then work rib with 4 stitches garter stitch and K4 in each side (seen from the right side). When band measures 4 cm increase all P4 to P5 (seen from right side) = approx. 309 to 363 stitches. When band measures 6 cm increase all P5 to P6 over the middle 28-36-36-44-44 stitches in back of neck = approx. 312 to 368 stitches. When band measures 9-10-10-11-11 cm change to 1 strand dark greyish green Alpaca + 1 strand mint Vivaldi. Work 2 rows as before with rib and 4 stitches garter stitch in each side, then loosely cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one go inside the 1 edge stitch. Crochet flower: Work 2 flowers to decorate or to close jacket. Work 4 chain stitches with hook size 4.5 mm and 2 strands light greyish green Alpaca and form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch. Round 1: * 1 double crochet around ring, 3 chain stitches,* repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with 1 slip stitch in first double crochet at beginning of round = 3 chain-spaces. Round 2: Work as follows in each chain-space: 1 slip stitch, 5 treble crochets, 1 slip stitch = 3 Petals. Turn piece - next round is worked from back of flower. Round 3: 1 chain stitch, work 1 double crochet around the first double crochet from round 1, 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 4th treble crochet on first petal from round 2, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of first treble crochet in second petal from round 2, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 5th treble crochet in second petal from round 2, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 2nd treble crochet in third petal from round 2, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch at beginning of round = 5 chain-spaces. Turn piece - next round is worked from front of flower. Round 4: Work as follows in each chain-space: 1 slip stitch, 6 treble crochets, 1 slip stitch = 5 Petals. Turn piece - next round is worked from back of flower. Round 5: 1 chain stitch, work 1 double crochet around the first første double crochet from round 3, 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of the 5th treble crochet in the first petal from round 4, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 4th treble crochet in the second petal from round 4, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 3rd treble crochet in third petal from round 4, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet at bottom of 2nd treble crochet in fourth petal from round 4, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 double crochet in bottom of first treble crochet in fifth petal from round 4, then 3 chain stitches, work 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch at beginning of round = 6 chain-spaces. Turn piece - next round is worked from front of flower. Round 6: Work as follows in each chain-space: 1 slip stitch, 6 treble crochets, 1 slip stitch = 6 Petals.
