Alvast hartelijk dank! Daan

CARDIGAN: Knitting Gauge: 13 sts knitted in pattern on needles size 8 mm = width 10 cm. 2 reports of pattern = height 14 cm. Hyacinth pattern: 1st row (= wrong side): *P5 tog. in the next st. knit as follows: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1 (= 5sts)*, repeat from *-*. 2nd & 4th. row (=right side): Purl 3rd row (= wrong side):*In next st knit as follows: K1, P1, K1, P1, K1 (= 5 sts), P5 tog*, repeat from *-*. 5th row (= wrong side): *Put needle through st as if to knit it, but make 3 yo's before pulling the needle through st*, repeat from *-*. 6th row (right side): Knit all sts, i.e. knit 1st yo, slip the other 2. Front band: The front band is knitted in garter sts throughout, but on every 5th row in pattern, knit the front band sts as follows (from the side towards the centre): *3yo’s, K1*, repeat from *-* on all front band sts. Knit garter sts on the 6th row in pattern, but drop the yo’s. Increasing tips (for the sleeve): Inc 1 st each side as follows: Knit 2 st into edge st by knitting 1 st into front and 1st into back of st. Knit new sts in garter sts and on row 5 and 6 as on the front band. Measurement tips: Do all measurements whilst piece is hanging, otherwise your garment may be too long. Back piece: Read all of this section before knitting it! Cast on 60-66-72-78-84 sts on both needles size 8 in Vienna (use both needles to make sure the edge will be stretchy). Remove 1 needle and continue in garter sts. When piece measures 6 cm knit the following row from the wrong side as follows: Knit the first 3 sts in garter sts, then the hyacinth pattern – see explanation above - over the next 54-60-66-72-78 sts, followed by 3 sts in garter sts. Continue to knit pattern but on the 5th pattern row knit the 3 edge sts at each side as follows: make 3 yo’s, K1. On the 6th row knit garter sts as explained above but drop the yo’s (this is to avoid the pattern tightening at the edges). When piece measures 12 cm and 36 cm bind off 1 st each side (make sure you do not bind off at the 5th and 6th rows) NB: After having bound off the 1st st at the sides knit the 2 outer sts at the sides as before and after having bound off the 2nd st knit the last outer st as before. When piece measures 61-62-63-64-65 cm – read measurement tip – bind off 6 sts for armhole each side = 44-50-56-61-68 sts. Continue to knit in hyacinth pattern with 1 st at each side in garter sts. When piece measures 76-78-80-82-84 cm -adjust after 6th row in pattern – knit in garter sts until finished measurements. At the same time, when piece measures 78-80-82-84-86 cm bind off the centre 12-12-14-14-14 sts for neck and bind off 1 st at each neck side on next row = 15-18-20-23-26 sts left on each shoulder. Knit one more row and bind off. Right front: Cast on 35-39-41-45-47 sts on both needles size 8 in Vienna (use both needles to make sure the edge will be stretchy). Continue in garter sts. When piece measures 6 cm knit the following row from the wrong side as follows: Knit the first 3 sts in garter sts, then the hyacinth pattern – see explanation above - over the next 24-30-30-36-36 sts, and 8-6-8-6-8 sts in garter sts for the front band. Continue in pattern as on back piece but on the 5th and 6th row knit the front band sts as described above. When piece measures 24 cm and 48 cm bind off 1 st at the side as described for back piece = 33-37-39-43-45 sts. When piece measures 61-62-63-64-65 cm – read measurement tip – bind off for armhole as described for back piece = 27-31-33-37-39 sts. Continue in hyacinth pattern with 1 st each side and knit the front band sts as before. When piece measures 76-78-80-82-84 cm - adjust to back piece measurement, continue in garter sts until finished measurements. At the same time, when piece measures 80-82-84-86-88 cm bind off the outer most 15-18-20-23-26 side sts for the shoulder. Continue in garter sts on the remaining 12-13-13-14-13 sts for the neck . When neck measures 5-6 cm from the shoulder put remaining sts on a thread (the neck edge should be stretched a little when sewn to the neckline at the back piece). Left front: Knit as right front but reverse. Sleeve: Cast on 28-30-32-34-36 sts on both needles size 8 in Vienna (use both needles to make sure the edge will be stretchy). Knit 16 cm in garter sts and on the last row (make sure this is from the wrong side) adjust the no of sts to 32-32-38-38-38. Continue in hyacinth pattern with a seam st each side. NB: Remember to knit the 5th and 6th row as on front and back pieces. At the same time, when piece measures 18cm inc 1 st each side on every 4.5-4-4-3.5-3 cm a total of 8-9-8-9-10 times – see increasing tips = 48-50-54-56-58 sts. When piece measures 53-52-51-49-48 cm insert a marking thread each side (marks where to sew the sleeve to the body) – at the same time continue to knit in garter sts until finished measurements (adjust to a finish pattern). When piece measures 57-56-55-53-52 cm bind off loosely. NB: The sleeve is shorter for the bigger sizes because the sleeve cap is longer. Assembly: Sew shoulders seams. Neck: Sew the neck edge tog at the centre back as shown in fig.1. Sew the collar to the neckline at the centre back with small sts. – the seam should turn to the wrong side. Collar: Start approx 15 cm down from the shoulder on the right front. Pick up approx 50-60 sts (including the dropped sts as described below) on needles size 8 along the right front, at the back neck and approx 15 cm down the left front – pick up sts in the dropped sts as follows: *K1, make a yo* repeat from *-* 3-4 times in each dropped st. Knit 14 cm in garter sts and bind off loosely. Assembly: Sew the side seams in the outer part of the most outer st. In the dropped sts stretch the thread the length of the st so the seam will not be too tight. Sew the sleeve seams in the seam sts the same way as the sides up to the marking thread. Sew in the sleeves where bound off for armhole. The marking thread at each side of the sleeve should fit to the side of the front and back pieces. Make sure the seam is not too tight. Belt: Cast on 6 sts. on both needles size 8 in Vienna and continue in garter sts. Bind off when the belt measures approx 120cm or desired length. Bind off loosely. SCARF: Size: 20 x 260 cm Materials: DROPS Vienna from Garnstudio 100 g colour no 43, Light brown. and use: DROPS Snow from Garnstudio 50 g colour no 09, Old rose Drops pointed needles size 8 mm Knitting Gauge: 8 sts on needles size with Vienna and long sts = width 10 cm. Pattern: 1st row (= right side): Knit 2nd row (=wrong side): Knit 3rd row (=right side): 1 edge st, *make 3 yo’s, K1* repeat from*-* and finish with 3 yo’s and 1 edge st. 4th row (=wrong side): Knit and drop the yo’s from the previous row. Scarf: Cast on 16 sts on both needles size 8 in Vienna (use both needles to make sure the edge will be stretchy). Knit 2 rows in garter sts. Continue in Pattern – see above. When scarf measures approx 200 cm (measured when held up) knit 2 rows garter sts and bind off loosely –to avoid the edge being too tight make a yo every 4 sts at the same time you bind off (the yo is bound off as a st.). Tassels: Attach 5 tassels at each end. 1 tassel = 2 threads of Vienna + 4 threads of Snow (=6 threads in total), each thread 60 cm long. Fold the threads in half and pull the folded end through the outer st on the short side of the scarf making a loop. Pull the ends through the loop. Distribute the 5 tassels evenly at each end of the scarf, having a tassel at each side. Hint: If the yarn in the tassels “curl up”, wet the threads and shake them so they stretch out. Pom-poms: Make 3 pom-poms in Vienna with a diameter of approx 5 cm. Cut 3 threads of Snow approx 15 – 25 cm (all 3 should be of different length).
