Voor de hiel wordt 5 cm gebreid. Ik heb ongeveer 30 rijen. (15R/15A). Nadien moetcik 13 steken opnemen?

I’m a bit confused with how to work the beginning and end of the rounds when working A2a, it says on the increase row between A1 and A2 to stop 2 stitches early, does this mean I’m starting A2a two stitches early, if so do I always start the row two stitches early?
05.07.2018 - 14:13DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pam, round starts mid back on leg, first work A.2 (= 5 sts) then repeat A.2B (start 1st repeat in A.2B at the appropriate arrow for your size, then work diagram to the end - reading from the right towards the left - then start A.2B from the beg to work an entire repeat, and repeat A.2B from the beg again over the remaining sts, but you may have not enough sts to work the last repeat, because of the number of sts. Happy knitting!

Chere Murielle! Bon tricot!

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. Work the entire pattern in stocking stitch. KNITTING TIP-1: To avoid the knitting tension to tighten when working pattern, it is important not to tighten the strands on back side of piece. Switch to a higher needle number when working pattern if the pattern is somewhat tight. KNITTING TIP-2 (applies to heel): To get a stronger heel the entire heel and heel decrease can be worked in 2 strands as follows: Use strand inside and outside of ball and work 1 stitch alternately with one and the other strand. This way you get a thicker heel without working with double strand. HEEL DECREASE: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until 6-7-7 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until 6-7-7 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. Continue decrease like this with 1 stitch less before each decrease until there are 14-14-16 stitches on needle. DECREASE TIP (applies to toe): Begin 2 stitches before marker thread and knit 2 together, marker thread, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles, top down. Rounds begin mid back. Cast on 60-63-69 stitches on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with grey. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 1/purl 2) for 4 cm. Knit 1 round while at the same time decreasing 6-3-3 stitches evenly = 54-60-66 stitches. Read KNITTING TIP-1 and work A.1 in the round (= 9-10-11 repetitions of 6 stitches). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1 has been worked, knit 1 round with dusty pink – increase at the same time 1-2-0 stitches evenly on round and finish round when 2 stitches remain mid back = 55-62-66 stitches. Work next round as follows: Work A.2A (= 5 stitches mid back on sock), work A.2B over the next 50-57-61 stitches (begin A.2B at arrow for your size and repeat pattern as far as possible until A.2A). Continue pattern like this. When A.2 has been worked, work A.3 in the round – AT THE SAME TIME on first round decrease 1-2-0 stitches evenly = 54-60-66 stitches (= 9-10-11 repetitions of 6 stitches). When A.3 has been worked, repeat A.4 – AT THE SAME TIME on first round decrease 0-2-4 stitches evenly = 54-58-62 stitches. When piece measures approx. 22-24-24 cm, cut the yarn (finish after one whole stripe with dark grey). Keep the first 13-14-15 stitches on needle for heel, slip the next 28-30-32 stitches on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) and keep the last 13-14-15 stitches on needle for heel. Read KNITTING TIP-2 and work in stocking stitch back and forth over the 26-28-30 heel stitches for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert 1 marker in the middle of piece on last row. Now work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above. After heel decrease continue A.4. I.e. work first round as follows in grey: Work stitches from heel, pick up 13-14-16 stitches along side of heel, work stitches from stitch holder mid on top of foot and pick up 13-14-16 stitches along the other side of heel = 68-72-80 stitches. Insert 1 marker on each side of the 28-30-32 stitches on top of foot. Then decrease in each side as follows: Knit the last 2 stitches before first marker on top of foot twisted together and knit the first 2 stitches after last marker on top of foot together. Decrease like this every other round 8-8-10 times in total = 52-56-60 stitches. Continue to work until piece measures approx. 18-19-21 cm from marker on heel (4-5-6 cm remain until finished measurements). Insert 1 marker thread in each side so that there are 26-28-30 stitches both on top of foot and under foot. Work with grey until finished measurements and decrease for toes on each side of both marker threads - read DECREASE TIP (= 4 stitches decreased). Decrease like this on every other round 5-8-10 times in total and then on every round 5-2-1 times in total = 12-16-16 stitches remain on needles. On next round knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 6-8-8 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Work the other sock the same way. |
