Miksi kaulurissa on kaksi kokoa? Kumpi pitäisi valita jos on ihan tavallinen M-kokoinen nainen?

Hei, valitse tällöin pienempi koko.

Hi, you’ve never mentioned how and when to seam the shoulders together. I assume you do it before you do the neck. But then I don’t understand why you don’t want us to close the shoulder stitches in the front to match the back, but rather ask to leave them live on a thread. What is the point of having them open?
10.08.2024 - 00:42DROPS Design answered:
Hi Julia, there are no shoulder seams - the front piece is worked back and forth with circular needle, bottom up. Stitches are cast off for the neck and each shoulder finished separately. Stitches are cast on at the back and the back piece worked top down. The neck is worked to finish. Happy knitting!

Hei Lill.

Deretter strikkes det videre over alle masker. mvh DROPS Design

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge = knit 2 rows ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- NECK-WARMER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The front piece is worked back and forth with circular needle, bottom up. Stitches are cast off for the neck and each shoulder finished separately. Stitches are cast on at the back and the back piece worked top down. The neck is worked to finish. FRONT PIECE: Cast on 54-58 stitches with circular needle size 6 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 3 strands). Work from the right side: 2 edge stitches in GARTER STITCH – read description above, * purl 2, knit 2 *, work from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, purl 2 and 2 edge stitches in garter stitch. Continue this rib for 6 cm. Change to circular needle size 7 mm and work as follows from the right side: Work the first 8-8 stitches as before, work the next 38-42 stitches and decrease 8 stitches evenly over these stitches (= 30-34 stitches in stocking stitch), work the last 8 stitches as before = 46-50 stitches. Continue this pattern (rib and garter stitch over the outermost 8 stitches and 30-34 stitches in stocking stitch in the middle). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 7-9 cm increase 1 stitch on each side as follows from the right side: Work the first 9 stitches as before, make 1 yarn over, work until there are 9 stitches left, make 1 yarn over and work the last 9 stitches as before. The yarn overs are purled twisted on the next row to avoid holes. Increase like this every 3½ cm a total of 4 times = 54-58 stitches. When the piece measures 20-22 cm, work the next row from the right side as follows: Work the first 18-20 stitches as before, place the next 18-18 stitches on a thread for the neck (after working them), work the last 18-20 stitches. Place the first 18-20 stitches on a thread for the left shoulder. RIGHT SHOULDER: Start from the wrong side and work as before, decreasing 1 stitch on each row from the neck 4 times as follows: Knit 2, slip 1 stitch, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, work to end of row = 14-16 stitches after the last decrease. Work until the piece measures 26-28 cm from the cast-on edge. Insert a marker to measure from (= top of shoulder). Continue working for a further 2 cm. At the end of the next row from the wrong side cast on 1 stitch towards the neck = 15-17 stitches. Cut the strand and place the stitches on a thread. LEFT SHOULDER: Place the 18-20 shoulder-stitches from the thread on circular needle size 7 mm. Start from the right side and continue as before, decreasing 1 stitch for the neck on each row from the right side 4 times as follows: Work until there are 4 stitches left on the row, knit 2 together and work the last 2 stitches = 14-16 stitches after the last decrease. Work until the piece measures 26-28 cm from the cast-on edge. Insert a marker to measure from (= top of shoulder). Continue working for a further 2 cm. On the next row from the right side cast on 1 stitch towards the neck = 15-17 stitches. Purl back from the wrong side. At the end of the next row cast on 24-24 stitches then place the right shoulder-stitches back on the needle = 54-58 stitches. BACK PIECE: Continue over all stitches as on the front piece. When the piece measures 8½ cm from the marker (matching the length to the last increase on the front piece), decrease inside the outermost 9 stitches on each side from the right side as follows: Work as before over the first 9 stitches, knit 2 together, work until there are 11 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, work the last 9 stitches as before. Repeat this decrease every 3½ cm a total of 4 times = 46-50 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures 20-22 cm from the marker. Change to circular needle size 6 mm and work as follows from the right side: 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, stocking stitch over the next 30-34 stitches and increase 8 stitches evenly over these stitches, purl 2, knit 2, purl 2 and 2 edge stitches in garter stitch = 54-58 stitches. Work as follows from the wrong side: 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, * knit 2, purl 2 *, work from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, knit 2, 2 edge stitches in garter stitch. Work this rib until the piece measures 26-28 cm from the marker – adjust so the front and back pieces are of equal length. Cast off. NECK: Using short circular needle size 6 mm and 1 strand of each colour (= 3 strands), start at the marker on the shoulder and knit up approx. 76 stitches around the neck (stitch-number divisible by 4). Work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2) for 20 cm. Cast off a little loosely. |
