For left front, how can you have 4 edge stitches in the middle? Are the 4 front band stitches included in the cast on of 27 for large? Also, what does "towards mid front" mean? That's very vague; can you be more specific. On left front, exactly which stitches (where?) do you put on a stitch holder? It must be the entire front band (including the increases), but if you include the edge stitch, it would be 10 stitches, not 9.

Dear Mrs Mang, the 4 front band sts are situated towards "mid front" and not in the middle of piece - so that your rows from RS will finish with 4 sts in garter st on left front piece. You then put the outermost sts towards mid front (= neck/collar) on a st holder - these sts are then worked for the neck edge - see" Neck line" below in pattern. Happy knitting!

I am having a difficult time with this pattern. Does "incl" mean include or includes? When casting on, it says ("incl 1 edge st..."), are they included or in addition to the number of stitches to be cast on? For the back it didn't work out because I found the lace pattern needs to have a multiple of four stitches plus the edge stitches, therefore for large size, 50 stitches were required for the back, not 48.

Dear Mrs Mang, the edge sts are included in the number of sts to cast on. Happy knitting!

What is the bust measurement and finished bust measurement for each size? I'm not sure which size to choose without the bust measurement.

Dear Mrs Mang, you will find at the bottom of pattern a measurement chart with all measurements for each size taken flat from side to side. Compare these to a similar garment you have and like the shape to find out the matching size. Read more about this here. Happy knitting!
