Dear Maria Lucinda, we are sorry but there is no portugese translation of this pattern for the time being. Our translators do work a lot to keep things up to date, but their priority for the current catalogs. Please check back from time to time, as we do hope that between fresh collections some of the old patterns get translated as well. Happy Knitting!

06.04.2020 - 11:08DROPS Design answered:
Hei Nanna. Du skal strikke M.1 over 76 masker, da strikker du M.1 6 ganger (= 72 masker) + 4 masker av M.1 (fletten) = 76 masker. Du har nå 7 fletter. God Fornøyelse!

The picture of this top looks like garter stitch between the cables but the M.1 graph is stocking knit where 1 row is purl and 1 row is knit. Which is correct?
20.01.2020 - 02:41DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sylvia, both are correct, when seeing diagram from RS you will have P1 round, K 1 round, ie you will knit from RS and knit from WS (= which will look like a purl stitch from RS). Happy knitting!

I’m knitting the drops summer top with cables. But cannot follow your pattern. M1 is knit over 12 stitches. But you say 7 cables = 76 stitches. Not 84! Instructions are not v clear.
16.03.2019 - 16:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Nóirín, you will repeat M.1 a total of 6 times (= over the next 72 sts), then work the first 4 sts in M.A (= cable) = you have now worked M.1 over 76 sts. Happy knitting!

Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows. Pattern: See diagram M.1. First row in diagram is worked from WS. English explanations to the diagrams are given at the bottom of this page. Hole for straps: K2, *K2 tog, K1 *, repeat from *-*, and make 1 YO over dec st on next row. Decreasing tip: K tog the 2 middle sts in cable before dec for armhole and neckline. Front piece: Cast on 86-90-96 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4 mm and K 1 row from RS. Continue as follows: 5-7-10 garter sts, M.1 on the next 76 sts (= 7 cables), 5-7-10 garter sts. Continue in pattern like this with 5-7-10 garter sts each side. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 3 cm inc 1 st each side on every 3-2.5-2 cm a total of 6-9-11 times = 98-108-118 sts. Work inc sts in garter st. When piece measures 25-27-28 cm cast off for armhole each side on every other row – see decreasing tip: 4 sts 0-1-1 time, 3 sts 1-2-2 times, 2 sts 1-2-3 times and 1 st 10-6-7 times. At the same time when piece measures 28-30-31 cm dec 1 st on each of the middle 3 cables. On next row slip the middle 17 sts on a stitch holder for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2-2-4 times = 15 sts left on shoulder. K 1 row on all sts, at the same time K tog the 2 middle sts on each cable. Piece now measures approx 30-32-34 cm. Make 4 holes – see above – on the remaining 14 sts. Work 1 row stocking st on all sts and cast off Back piece: Cast on and work like front piece. Assembly: Sew side seams inside 1 edge st. Pick up approx 30-35 sts (incl sts on stitch holder) on needle size 4 mm along neckline on front piece – beg and finish in garter st row below the holes. P 1 row as seen from RS and cast off. Crochet a row of dc with crochet hook size 4 mm along the edge – beg and finish with 1 sl st by the row of holes. Repeat along neckline on back piece. Crochet a round of dc round armholes – beg and finish with 1 sl st by the garter st row below the holes each side. Crochet 6 ch-strings measuring approx 70-80 cm each. Make 2 pleats (3 strings in each). 1 pleat = 1 strap. Thread a strap through the 4 holes on one side of front piece and then through the same holes on back piece. Crochet tog the 2 ends with 1 sl st = 2 straps on each shoulder Repeat the other side. |
