---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.9. Choose diagram for desired size (applies to A.2 and A.7). Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over. On next round work yarn overs as explained below: BEFORE RAGLAN STITCHES: Slip stitch off left needle and put it back on left needle but the opposite way (insert left needle in from behind when slipping it back on needle). Knit yarn overs in front loop of stitches to avoid holes. Work the new stitches in pattern. AFTER RAGLAN STITCHES: Knit yarn overs in back loop of stitches to avoid holes. Work the new stitches in pattern. SLEEVE TIP: When picking up stitches mid under sleeve, there will be a small hole in the transition between stitches on body and sleeves. The holes can be closed by picking up the strand between two stitches - work this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve to close the hole. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of stitch with marker by working 3 stitches together as follows: Work until 1 stitch remains before stitch marker, purl 3 together (= 2 stitches decreased). This stitch is now the stitch with marker, purl this stitch onwards. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed. Work neck edge and yoke in the round on circular needle from right shoulder back, and work top down. When yoke is done, divide piece for body and sleeves. Work body downwards in the round on circular needle while putting the sleeves aside. Then work sleeves downwards in the round on needle. If 0 is given for the chosen size, it means that you skip the information until next information. NECK EDGE: Cast on 104-104-108-112-120-124-128 stitches on circular needle size 3 mm with DROPS Karisma or DROPS Lima. Work first round while AT THE SAME TIME inserting markers on round between 2 stitches as follows: Insert 1st marker before first stitch, work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) over the next 19-19-19-19-21-21-21 stitches (= sleeve), insert 2nd marker before next stitch, work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) over the next 33-33-35-37-39-41-43 stitches (= front piece), insert 3rd marker before next stitch, work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) over the next 19-19-19-19-21-21-21 stitches (= sleeve), insert 4th marker before next stitch, work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) over the next 33-33-35-37-39-41-43 stitches after last marker (= back piece). All the markers are between 2 knit stitches, these 2 stitches are called raglan stitches. Increase for raglan on each side of raglan stitches later. Raglan stitches are always worked in stocking stitch and is in the transition between front pieces/back piece and sleeves. Continue rib with knit over knit and purl over purl for 4-4-4-4½-4½-5-5 cm. Beginning of round is at right shoulder at the back. Insert 1 marker after the first 35-35-36-37-40-41-42 stitches on round (= approx. mid front), measure piece from this marker. YOKE: Continue with circular needle size 4.5 mm. Work in PATTERN in the round and increase for RAGLAN on each side of raglan stitches – read explanation above and work as explained below. All increases are shown in diagram. Remember to work raglan stitches in stocking stitch. ROUND 1: Knit 19-19-19-19-21-21-21 while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 1 stitch over these stitches (= 18-18-18-18-20-20-20 stitches for sleeve), knit 33-33-35-37-39-41-43 (= front piece), knit 19-19-19-19-21-21-21 while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 1 stitch over these stitches (= 18-18-18-18-20-20-20 stitches for sleeve), knit 33-33-35-37-39-41-43 (= back piece) = 102-102-106-110-118-122-126 stitches. A.1 and A.3 are now finished vertically. Remember to follow the knitting tension! Now work only double moss stitch (= A.5), work as follows: ROUND 1: Knit 1, work A.4, A.8, A.2, A.9, A.6, knit 2, work A.4, work A.5 over the next 41-41-43-45-47-49-51 stitches, work A.6, knit 2, work A.4, A.8, A.7, A.9, A.6, knit 2, work A.4, work A.5 over the next 41-41-43-45-47-49-51 stitches, work A.6, knit 1. Work pattern and increase for double moss stitch as before, continue to increase for raglan every other round until 27-27-29-30-30-31-31 increases have been done in total = 318-318-338-350-358-370-374 stitches (= 8 stitches increased on every increase round). Increases for sleeve are now done but continue to increase for raglan on front piece and back piece on every other round 1-3-2-3-5-7-9 more times = 322-330-346-362-378-398-410 stitches on needle. 27-27-29-30-30-31-31 increases have been done in total on sleeves and 28-30-31-33-35-38-40 times on front piece/back piece. Work without increase until piece measures 22-22-24-25-27-29-31 cm from marker mid front. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. DIVIDING FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: AT THE SAME TIME as next round is worked divide yoke for body and sleeves as follows: Slip the first 72-72-76-78-80-82-82 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 5-9-13-15-17-19-23 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve), work 89-93-97-103-109-117-123 stitches as before (= front piece), slip the next 72-72-76-78-80-82-82 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 5-9-13-15-17-19-23 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve) and work the last 89-93-97-103-109-117-123 stitches as before (= back piece). Begin round in the stitch with marker and work in the round - adjust the new stitches under sleeve to work in the round in double moss stitch (= A.5) around the entire body. Work double moss stitch until piece measures 47-49-51-53-54-56-58 cm from marker mid front. Knit 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 50-54-58-62-66-72-78 stitches evenly on 1st round= 238-258-278-298-318-344-370 stitches.
