When changing to sock weight yarn, what do we need to change? The new chain length? The hook size?

Dear Keely, if you like to change yarn, use our yarn converter and always check the tension to get the correct finished measurements. Read more here. Happy knitting!

Hej Jeg vil gerne hækle pulsvarmerne ensfarvet.

I usually crochet tight so I used a 6.5/k hook. Unfortunately these warmers are huge on my size 7 inch wrists and about 8 inch mid arm. I will try a 5.5/i hook to see if they fit better. Just responding in order to inform others.

Har prøvd meg på disse flere ganger nå med drops Paris bomullsgarn, men de blir alt for store! Og det syns jeg de ser ut til å bli på instruksjonsvideoen i kommentarfeltet her også.. Noe de ikke gjør på bildet😕

Pattern: See diagram M.1. Shell pattern (= M.1) is worked in stripes with 2 rows in the same colour. Crochet tip: Replace first dtr on round with 4 ch and first dc with 1 ch. Finish each round with 1 sl st in first dtr/dc from beg of round. Wrist warmers: Crochet 40 ch with crochet hook size 4.5 mm and grey and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. See Crochet tip! Round 1: 1 dc in each ch, but skip every 5th ch = 32 dc. Now crochet following rounds with 1 st in each st as follows: 1 round with dtr, 1 round with dc, 1 round with dtr, 1 round with dc and 1 round with dtr. Change to light grey and work 1 round with dc. Work next round as follows: 1 ch, 1 dc in the first dc, * skip 3 dc, 9 dtr in next dc (= 1 shell), skip 3 dc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times, but the last time finish with 1 sl st in instead of 1 dc = 4 shells on round. Continue in M.1 in stripes as follows: 2 rounds beige/brown, 2 rounds light beige/brown, 2 rounds grey, 2 rounds light grey and 2 rounds beige/brown = 6 rounds with shell pattern. Cut the thread and fasten. Wrist warmer measures approx 18 cm. |
